“Give Them Food”
“Who then is the faithful and prudent slave, whom the master has set over his household to give them food at the proper time? Blessed is that slave whom his master, when he comes, will find so doing.” (Matt. 25:45-46)
“But we will continue steadfastly in prayer and in the ministry of the word.” (Acts 6:4)
In order for us to follow the Lamb and go on to maturity to become the firstfruits, we must be faithful in service in the Lord’s commission to give God as food to the members of His household so that we may win Christ as our reward in the coming kingdom. God has a household and a household administration, an economy, to dispense Himself as food to the members of His household for His expression. God has set faithful and prudent slaves over His household as household administrators, stewards, channels of supply, to give His people food at the proper time.
“Give them food” refers to ministering the word of God and Christ as the life supply to the believers in the church. Christ as the life-giving Spirit is our food, embodied and realized in the word of life. In order to enjoy the Lord as our spiritual food so that we can feed others, we must pray over and muse on His word, tasting and enjoying it through careful considering. We must devote ourselves to prayer and the ministry of the word. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (4), msg. 9, III, A-C, C.1-2)
2026 FIFA World Cup Gospel Outreach
The 2026 World Cup action kicks off in Los Angeles on Thursday, June 11 with a FIFA Fan Festival at the LA Memorial Coliseum near USC. The following day, the first of eight matches will take place at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood. Additional fan zones will pop up throughout the region at locations such as the Original Farmers Market and Union Station.
With local residents as well as visitors from around the world gathering to watch these events, we believe this is the sovereign arrangement of the Lord for us to go forth and preach the gospel to the nations (Matt. 28:19). Our outreach, which includes Bible distribution, will be focused mainly around fan festivals and watch parties, as these present the greatest opportunity for contacting people. The first distribution dates are June 11 and 12. There will be no scheduled times during the Semiannual Training.
We hope many saints—from all halls, districts, and languages—will consider joining us in this endeavor. Young people are welcome if accompanied by a parent. Go to www.churchinlosangeles.org/
Please pray that more saints sign up, including parents with young people and those who have no prior experience in this kind of activity. May the Lord prepare the hearts of many people, especially ones who are local to the area, to hear the living word of God.
LA Family Bible Camp and Truth School
This Lord’s Day, June 7 is the final deadline to register for our LA Summer 2026 Family Bible Camp and Truth School, June 20 to 23. The event will kick off on a Saturday in LA before moving to Oak Glen the following Lord’s Day evening through Tuesday afternoon.
We are burdened for all our young people and families with young children, as well as young working saints and college students as serving ones, to participate in this sanctified time to enjoy the Lord together in a focused way. May the saints be reminded to register and released to attend!
FTTA
The application deadline for the Fall 2026 term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim has been extended to Lord’s Day, June 21. The Training provides a unique atmosphere for producing vital, functioning, and overcoming members of the Body of Christ for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose.
Please pray for the Lord to gain many more recent college graduates and young working saints who respond to His calling to be trained—to love Him, pursue Him, and be perfected in life and function to serve Him for His move all over the earth.
European Young People’s Work
In coordination with the brothers in Europe, we want to provide a way to send offerings to support the upcoming European Young People’s Conference in Poland this year, which will take place in the last week of July. The current need is approximately $40,000 to support the saints participating from different countries who are not able to afford the conference. May this need be met in the Body.
As the Lord leads, saints who are burdened to participate financially may do so through The Church in Los Angeles designated for “European Young People’s Work.”
France and Italy – Shepherding Trips
Thank the Lord for all that He has accomplished through His Body in both France and Italy. As a result of the Olympics gospel trips in these two countries, new churches have been raised up, existing churches have been strengthened, the saints are burdened for the gospel, and the Lord is adding together day by day those who are being saved (Acts 2:47).
Please continue to pray for the shepherding of the seeking ones contacted during and since the Torch Relay and Olympics gospel trips—that they continue steadfastly, be shepherded into the church life, and become remaining fruit. Pray for saints to migrate and for laborers to visit as a result of the Lord’s thrusting out, so that both short-term and long-term there will be workers to care for the Lord’s needs throughout Italy and French-speaking Europe.
For those who are burdened and available to participate in follow-up shepherding trips, see the invitation and application form for France (tinyurl.com/franceshep) and Italy (tinyurl.com/italyshep).
