“Through which He has granted to us precious and exceedingly great promises that through these you might become partakers of the divine nature…” —2 Pet. 1:4
As those who have received equally precious faith, we, the believers in Christ, should be partakers of the divine nature. We need to experience the development of the divine life and the divine nature contained in the divine seed that has been sown into us that we may have a rich entrance into the eternal kingdom.
As children of God, we are God-men, born of God, possessing the life and nature of God, and belonging to the species of God. At our regeneration, another nature was imparted into us; this is the nature of God, the divine nature. A partaker of the divine nature is one who enjoys the divine nature and participates in the divine nature. If we enjoy God and partake of the riches of His being, we will be constituted with the divine nature, becoming the same as God in life and nature but not in the Godhead and expressing Him in all that we are and do. Thank you for your prayers for our Bible distribution during last week’s LA Korean Festival. The saints distributed Recovery Version NTs in Korean, English, and Spanish, as well as invitations to a gospel seminar this Saturday, October 10.
Please pray:
- That those who received Bibles would read and enjoy them, including the footnotes.
- That the Lord continue to draw many open and seeking ones to receive His Word and the fellowship of the Body—especially the younger generation in LA’s Koreatown—and bless the follow-up and shepherding to gain remaining fruit.
- That the Lord bless this Saturday’s gospel seminar.
- That gospel preaching become established as a normal and consistent part of the saints’ daily living.
The Fall 2026 Junior High Conferences will be held October 9–11 with sisters in Diamond Bar and brothers in Huntington Beach. The topic is "The Living and Abiding Word of God.”
Please pray:
- That our young people to hear the Lord’s speaking to them this weekend.
- That each junior higher learn to love the Word of God.
- For much blending and companionship among the young people, both across the halls in LA and among the localities.
Thank you, saints, for your prayers over the past few weeks. We have sensed the Lord’s blessing due to your intercession. We need your continued prayers as we head into the last week of our intense fall quarter welcome period.
Please pray:
- For the Lord to arrange many personal appointments with our students for regular feeding on the word of God this quarter.
- For many freshmen to set aside time for our mini retreat this Saturday, October 10 to be companionized and strengthened in spirit, so that they can pursue the Lord consistently even as their studies become more demanding.
Throughout Germany, university classes begin the week of October 5–9 or October 12–16.
Please pray:
- That the Lord prepare many new students to receive His gospel.
- That the saints who go out with tracts and NTs meet seekers and establish continuing contact to bring forth remaining fruit.

- Wednesday Night Ministry Meeting: The weekly ministry series on 1 & 2 Timothy and Titus continues this Wednesday 7:25 PM at the MCC and online at lsmwebcast.com.

- Semiannual Training: December 21–26 in Anaheim and by webcast. Registration for LA saints will open this weekend.

Giving
Offerings may be given in several ways. All offerings without designation will go to the General Fund. You may specify all or part of your offering towards a particular area of need. See a list of current offering designations here.
For the donation to be tax-deductible, do not designate for individuals; if any name is mentioned in the memo, your offering will be returned.
Donations may be submitted through the Subsplash Giving platform.
On the church app:
- Download and open the Church in Los Angeles app on your phone or tablet.
- At the bottom right corner, tap on “Resources” to find “Giving”.
- Fill out the requested information to indicate the amount, designation (fund), payment source, and frequency.
On the web:
- Sign up or log in on the church’s dedicated Subsplash Giving portal.
- Type in the amount of your gift and designate the fund.
- Link your bank account or debit/credit card. To minimize transaction fees, we strongly encourage the linking of checking account (ACH) rather than card.

Cash may be put in the offering box in any of our meeting halls. Please do not send cash in the mail.
Checks payable to “The Church in Los Angeles” may be put in the offering box at any of our meeting halls or mailed to 8655 Haskell Ave, North Hills, CA 91343.
