Members

“For just as in one body we have many members, and all the members do not have the same function, so we who are many are one Body in Christ, and individually members one of another.” —Rom. 12:4-5

The high peak of the divine revelation—the “diamond” in the “box” of the Bible—is the revelation that in Christ God has become man in order that man might become God in life and nature but not in the Godhead. It is only by God’s becoming man to make man God that the Body of Christ can be produced; this point is the high peak of the vision given to us by God.

The issue of God becoming man and man becoming God is an organism; this organism is the Body of Christ—the union and mingling of God with man. God sent His Son to be a man and to live a God-man life by the divine life; such a living issues in a universal man that is exactly the same as He is—a corporate man living a God-man life by the divine life. The reality of the Body of Christ is the union and mingling of God with man to live out a corporate God-man. (The Great Need for a New Revival, msg. 2, II, III, B.2, C-D)

May we all see and enter into the reality of the highest peak of the divine revelation!

Earlier this month, on August 15, our young people from across Los Angeles gathered for a special back-to-school kick-off meeting. They received helpful fellowship on walking by the Spirit (Gal. 5:16) as they begin the new academic year.

This Saturday, August 29 there will be a blending meeting in Arcadia for hundreds of YP from across Southern California. This is a wonderful opportunity for them to blend together and be strengthened with the joy of the Lord.

Please pray:

• That our YP "continue in the things" (2 Tim. 3:14) they heard this summer, and that the matter of The Two Spirits (John 3:6; 4:24) become especially precious and practical to them in their daily living.
• That they drop any reservations or hesitations and attend this Saturday’s blending meeting with open hearts, and that the burden of the fellowship meet their need and encourage them to be living witnesses of Christ on their school campuses.
  
• That they maintain and cultivate companionships made in recent months, even as they get busier with school, and that they make at least one connection this Saturday with someone they did not know before.
  

Classes at USC began this week on August 24.

Please pray:

• For the Spirit to draw seeking students, especially freshmen, to sign up at our club table and engage in warm fellowship with our students.
• For the Lord to gather many new and open students to our first college meeting as well as the new believers' meeting on the Lord's day.
  

At Cal State Northridge, we are distributing Bibles and tracts from August 24–28, September 1–2 and 8–9, and will participate in CSUN’s Meet the Clubs event from September 8–9.

May the Lord gain many new students, strengthen the saints’ coordination, and raise up more core students as remaining fruit for His testimony on this campus!

Please pray:

• That the Lord lead us to seeking students, grant meaningful conversations, open doors for follow-up contact, and connect them with meals, Bible studies, and further fellowship.
  
• That the serving ones be strengthened in prayer, fellowship, and one accord to contact, follow up with, and shepherd the new students week by week.
• That our core students be revived and empowered in their pursuit of the Lord, be brought fully into the church life, function actively in caring for new ones, be built up together as remaining fruit, and gain and shepherd others.

In Vietnam there has been more coordination among the saints for the literature distribution work. Although many are occupied with work and family responsibilities, they are still willing to participate. A regular prayer time has been a strengthening factor, with encouraging progress seen in terms of outreach and the number of readers being contacted.

The work has expanded to multiple social media platforms that have helped increase exposure and reach a broader audience, especially among younger people and new ones who may not be reached through traditional channels.

Please pray:

• That a license be obtained to print books locally for the distribution throughout Vietnam.
• That the ministry spread through multiple electronic channels and reach the seeking ones.
