Overcoming by Breathing the Spirit

"And when He had said this, He breathed into them and said to them, Receive the Holy Spirit." (John 20:22)

"…The bountiful supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ." (Phil. 1:19)

To be a Christian is not merely difficult—it is impossible. Only the processed and consummated Triune God living in us as the all-inclusive Spirit can be a Christian…The kind of holiness required, for example, is something that we cannot produce…Only the Spirit can be a Christian, and only the Spirit can be an overcomer.

We need to call on the Lord Jesus, continually…Because we are not accustomed to this, we need to practice calling on the Lord's name all the time. To live is to breathe. Spiritually speaking, to breathe is to call on the Lord's name and to pray. By calling on the name of the Lord Jesus, we breathe the Spirit. Just as we must breathe in order to live physically, we must breathe spiritually to live Christ. (Life-study of Job, p. 110; Life-study of Philippians, pp. 298-299)

Southern California High School Sisters Conference

The Spring High School Sisters Conference will be held in-person this weekend, March 17 to 19, at Oak Glen. The topic is "The Divine Romance." Please pray for our young sisters to respond to the Lord's love and be brought into the divine romance shown in the Bible. May they see the Lord afresh and be drawn by Him personally so that together they would run after Him. Pray also that they would be encouraged by and blended with other young people across Southern California.

FTTA-MA

The spring term of the Middle-age Training in Anaheim begins next week on March 20. The goal of the training is to foster living, functioning, overcoming members of the Body of Christ for the fulfillment of God's eternal purpose!

Please pray for the Lord's covering and blessing of all the trainees, serving ones, and their families. Pray for the rich infusion of the truth into each trainee and for the Lord's maturing them through His moving within each one and His using the outward environment.

Spring European University Conference

This weekend, March 17 to 19, a conference will take place in the Netherlands for university students in Europe. The subject will be "Living for the Fulfillment of God's Eternal Purpose." Please pray that:

  • The Lord will pour out His blessing on every aspect of the conference, including the travel and weather.
  • Each attendee will meet the Lord this weekend and, seeing His beauty and realizing that this is the day of day of His warfare, will offer themselves willingly to Him.
  • The Lord will speak a timely word to the university students in Europe and gain them for His final move to prepare for His coming. Each one will see God's purpose, live for His purpose, enjoy Him, be consecrated to Him, and shepherd according to Him.
  • Satan and his kingdom will suffer fatal, irrevocable loss in the hearts and lives of this generation, and that they will be produced as part of the one new man who will live for and become part of the fulfillment of God's eternal purpose.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray for the saints in Russia and Ukraine to be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man, where Christ is all the members and in all the members, and for the preservation and shepherding of all the saints in their tripartite being.

A reminder from the footnote on 1 Kings 8:48: "No matter for whom we are praying, our prayers should be aimed at the interests of God, i.e., at Christ and the church as God's interests on earth, for the fulfilling of God's economy."

Sri Lanka

Pray for the printing of the Sinhala Recovery Version of the Gospel of Matthew this month.

Tajikistan

Pray for the contacts who heard the gospel; may the Lord work in them and make them wise unto salvation to become members of the Body of Christ.

Participating in the Things Prepared by God by Loving Him

"…Things which eye has not seen and ear has not heard and which have not come up in man's heart; things which God has prepared for those who love Him." (1 Cor. 2:9)

To realize and participate in the deep and hidden things God has ordained and prepared for us requires us not only to believe in Him but also to love Him...To love God means to set our entire being—spirit, soul, and body, with the heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30)—absolutely on Him, that is, to let our entire being be occupied by Him and lost in Him, so that He becomes everything to us and we are one with Him practically in our daily life. In this way we have the closest and most intimate fellowship with God, and we are able to enter into His heart and apprehend all its secrets. Thus, we not only realize but also experience, enjoy, and fully participate in these deep and hidden things of God. (1 Cor. 2:9, note 3)

Let us love the Lord, setting our entire being on Him, to experience the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity!

Having a Labor of Shepherding

"…Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Feed My lambs…Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Shepherd My sheep." (John 21:15-16)

In order to make ourselves ready for the Lord's coming, we need to maintain our victory by participating in Christ's heavenly ministry to feed His lambs and shepherd His sheep in order to take care of God's flock, which is the church that issues in the Body of Christ.

We need to shepherd people according to the pattern of the Lord Jesus in His ministry for carrying out God's eternal economy. Our not having the Father's loving and forgiving heart and the Savior's shepherding and seeking spirit is the reason for our barrenness. We need to cherish people (to make them happy and to make them feel pleasant and comfortable) in the humanity of Jesus. We need to nourish people (to feed them with the all-inclusive Christ in His ministry of three stages) in the divinity of Christ.

In His caring for the churches as the golden lamp stands, the ascended Lord is the "walking Christ" and the "speaking Spirit"; by His walking in the midst of the churches, He gets to know the condition of each church, and then according to what He sees, He speaks to us so that all the saints in the churches might be metabolically and organically transformed with the aim of making them His overcomers. (ICSC, msg. 5, II, A, 1, 2, 6)

Wednesday Night Ministry Meetings

The weekly Wednesday Night Ministry Meeting will resume this week on March 1 at 7:30 pm. The live, in-person meetings at the LSM Ministry Conference Center will once again be open to all the saints. Accordingly, the previous website provided previously to nearby churches and saints to watch remotely (lsm.org/live) will no longer be available. The saints are invited and encouraged to attend these crucial ministry meetings in person to support the release of the word.

Those who cannot attend in person may create or log into their account at http://lsmwebcast.com and either pay to watch the meeting live or watch without paying if they are monthly subscribers.

Please pray for the ministry of the Lord's word week by week to His recovery. Pray for the Lord's continued blessing of the Full-time Training in Anaheim and covering of all trainees and serving ones.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Lord will keep all the saints in the involved countries open to Him for their experience of the divine dispensing in all the situations of their daily living.
  • The Lord will meet all the practical needs of the saints as the cold weather of winter settles in.
  • The brothers who are fighting in the war will be preserved by the Lord in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • The saints will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.

Turkey

Pray for the two families affected by the earthquakes, that their lives can turn back to normal and be protected from further disaster; also pray for their hearts to be comforted and be free from the shadow of fear and death. May the Lord open the door of the gospel in Turkey!

Egypt

Over three million people attended the 54th annual Cairo International Book Fair, which took place January 24 through February 6. The CIBF is the largest book fair in the world for the Arabic-reading public as well as the largest in the world that is open directly to the public. For the fifth year in a row the Arabic literature work in Egypt was able to present LSM ministry publications in Arabic openly to the public. The interactions with the public and the reception to the Arabic ministry materials were, by far, the best we have had since we began participating in this fair. (For highlights, see the February issue of LSM's newsletter.)

Please pray for:

  • The follow-up with and shepherding of new contacts.
  • All those who received our books to benefit from this ministry.
  • The translation and publication of ministry books into Arabic, including the NT Recovery Version.

Democratic Republic of the Congo

The Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) is the second-largest country by area in Africa and, with nearly 90 million people, the continent's fourth-most populous country. Over 600 saints are meeting in 12 localities, including the capital Kinshasa. Please pray for:

  • The Lord's protection and care of the saints in Goma, where there have been protests against the political situation and military conflict between the government and rebel groups.
  • The preservation of the Lord's interests in the DRC and neighboring countries.
  • The saints to be supplied in all aspects of their tripartite being so that the Lord's testimony may increase and the light of the Lord will shine as in a dark place.

Mary's Love Offering to the Lord

"A woman came to Him, having an alabaster flask of ointment of great value, and she poured it on His head as He reclined at table. But when the disciples saw it, they were indignant, saying, Why this waste?" (Matt. 26:7-8)

"Truly I say to you, Wherever this gospel is proclaimed in the whole world, what this woman has done shall also be told as a memorial of her." (Matt. 26:13)

The disciples considered Mary's love offering to the Lord a waste. Throughout the past twenty centuries, thousands of precious lives, heart treasures, high positions, and golden futures have been wasted upon the Lord Jesus. To such lovers He is altogether lovely and worthy of their offering. What they have poured upon Him is not a waste, but a fragrant testimony of His sweetness….This indicates that we must love the Lord and grasp the opportunity to express our love to Him….To love the Lord with our best requires a revelation concerning Him.

Along with Simon, Mary also probably thought that this was her last chance to do something over the Lord's body to anoint Him for burial. In a very real sense, Mary buried the Lord Jesus before He was crucified. What a contrast there is between the religionists who hated the Lord and wanted to kill Him and His lovers who took the opportunity to express their love for Him!…

The story of the gospel is that the Lord loved us, and the story of Mary is that she loved the Lord. We must preach both, the Lord loving us and us loving the Lord. One is for our salvation, and the other is for our consecration. The gospel tells us how the Lord loved us, but the loving story of Mary stirs us up to love the Lord. Thus, there needs to be a mutual love. This must accompany the preaching of the gospel. (Life-study of Matthew, msg. 68)

Cooperating with the Lord to Satisfy the Hungry

"And after commanding the crowds to recline on the grass, He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, He blessed and broke the loaves and gave them to the disciples, and the disciples to the crowds. And they all ate and were satisfied. And they took up what was left over of the broken pieces, twelve handbaskets full." (Matt 14:19-20)

The Lord fed the people; He ministered the life supply to them. By having the crowds recline on the grass, He put the people into good order. This shows the Lord's wisdom and orderliness. By looking up to heaven the heavenly King indicated that His source was His Father in the heavens. Then He blessed the loaves and fishes and broke them. This indicates that whatever we bring to the Lord must be broken for it to become a blessing to others….

After the Lord broke the loaves, He gave them to the disciples. The loaves were from the disciples, and they brought them to the Lord. After being blessed and broken by the Lord, they were given back to the disciples for distribution to the crowds, to whom the loaves became a great satisfaction. This indicates that the disciples were not the source of blessing; they were only the channels used by the Lord, who was the source of the people's satisfaction. The broken bread was passed on to the disciples, and the disciples distributed it to the crowds. This broken bread became the satisfaction to all the hungry people, and there was great blessing. The principle is the same today….

Twelve baskets full of fragments indicate not only that the resurrected Christ is unlimited and inexhaustible, but also that the Lord's provision for us is abundant, more than sufficient to meet all our need….What we offer to the Lord may be very little; but the blessing will be great, and the overflow, the surplus, will be greater than what we offered. What we offer to the Lord cannot be exhausted. Rather, it will be used by the Lord to bless others abundantly, even with a surplus, to testify that this is the Lord's marvelous doing. (Life-study of Matthew, msg. 43, pp. 517-519)

FTTA Gospel Trips

Until February 11 gospel teams from FTTA and FTTA-XB are visiting 20 countries in Europe, as well as the US and Canada, for the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom. Approximately 240 trainees and serving ones on 36 teams are involved. Please pray that:

  • The Lord will blend and build the saints involved so that He will have the free way to fully bless the trips.
  • The sanctifying Spirit will go before the saints to prepare the hearts of those the Lord has chosen.
  • The preaching of the gospel of the kingdom will be prevailing and reach all those the Lord desires to save.
  • Fruit, even remaining fruit, will be borne in each place visited, and the Lord will add to the churches as His testimony in each of these nations.

Building on the Rock According to the Lord's Words

"Everyone therefore who hears these words of Mine and does them shall be likened to a prudent man who built his house upon the rock. And the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blew, and they beat against that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock." (Matt. 7:24-25)

"The work of each will become manifest for the day will declare it, because it is revealed by fire, and the fire itself will prove each one's work, of what sort it is." (1 Cor. 3:13)

The rock [in Matthew 7:24] does not refer to Christ, but to His wise word, the word that reveals the will of His Father who is in the heavens. The kingdom people's living and work must be founded on the word of the new King for the accomplishment of the will of the heavenly Father. This is to enter the narrow gate and walk the constricted way which leads to life.

[In verse 25] the rain is of God, descending from the heavens; the rivers are of man, coming from the earth; and the winds are of Satan, blowing from the air. All these will test the living and work of the kingdom people. Although the rain may descend, the rivers may come, and the winds may blow, the house built upon the rock will not fall because it is built according to the constricted way, the way of doing the will of the Father. The house built on the rock which does not fall is like the building work of gold, silver, and precious stones, which can stand the testing fire (1 Cor. 3:12-13).

Verse 26 says, "And every one who hears these words of Mine and does not do them shall be likened to a foolish man, who built his house on the sand." Sand here refers to human concepts and natural ways. If we live and work according to our human concepts and natural ways, our living and work will be founded on sinking sand. This is to enter the wide gate and walk on the broad way that leads to destruction. (Life-study of Matthew, msg. 24, pp. 306-307)

Being Reconstituted with God's Word to Be God's Testimony

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly…" (Col. 3:16)

"That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word, that He might present the church to Himself glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that she would be holy and without blemish." (Eph. 5:26-27)

God's intention with Israel was to have on earth a divinely constituted people to be His testimony—a people reconstituted with the word of God. After the return from captivity, the people of Israel were still unruly, for they had been born and raised in Babylon and had become Babylonian in their constitution. There was the need of teaching and reconstitution to bring the people of God into a culture that was according to God, a culture that expressed God; this kind of culture requires a great deal of education.

Ezra brought the people back to the Word of God so that they might be re-educated and reconstituted with the heavenly truths in the divine Word. As a result of being reconstituted through the ministry of Ezra, Israel (in type) became a particular nation, a nation sanctified and separated unto God, expressing God. (December Semiannual Training, msg. 5, II.A,B,C,E,G)

As we pray for the Lord's word and burden released in the December Semiannual Training to operate prevailingly in all the saints and churches, let us pray specifically that we would begin this year with a renewed appetite for the Word of God. May the Lord gain us as Ezras—priestly teachers who contact God, who are saturated with God, who are one with God, who are mingled with God, who are filled with God, and who are skillful in the Word of God—for His testimony and glory.

Enjoying Christ on the Genuine Ground of Oneness

"Where there cannot be Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, barbarian, Scythian, slave, free man, but Christ is all and in all." (Col. 3:11)

"Being diligent to keep the oneness of the Spirit in the uniting bond of peace: one Body and one Spirit, even as also you were called in one hope of your calling." (Eph. 4:3-4)

We all must learn that in this universe God has chosen only one place, and that place is the church. God requires us to go to this place He has chosen. Spiritually speaking, we must destroy every place other than the church and every name other than the name of Christ. We must destroy everything that damages the oneness of the one new man. Then we will simply be in the church life enjoying Christ as the riches of the good land. As we enjoy Him with God, we will be planted in the house of the Lord, we will grow, and we will flourish.

The genuine oneness—the oneness according to the nature of God—is an all-inclusive, comprehensive oneness that includes all positive things. All the godly things and all the spiritual riches are ours on the genuine ground of oneness.

On the one hand, we must admit that we are still quite short and have a long way to go. On the other hand, we can testify that the Lord's riches surely are to be found in His recovery! (CWWL, 1979, vol. 2, "The Genuine Ground of Oneness," pp. 288-289, 243, 330)

Hall 2 Oak Glen Retreat

This weekend, December 16 through 18, over 100 saints and children of all ages from the Valley will head to Oak Glen Christian Conference Center for an intimate time of loving the Lord. The general theme of the time will be "Love Is the Most Excellent Way."

Please pray for a sweet time of blending and that we all would enter into the reality of loving the Lord, loving one another, and loving others. Also pray for the saints to be refreshed for a new start with the Lord in 2023.

Belgium

There will be a conference in Brussels, Belgium this weekend, December 16 to 18. Please pray for the release of the Lord's rich word to all the saints and for the blending of the saints for the reality of the Body of Christ.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Lord will keep all the saints in the involved countries open to Him for their experience of the divine dispensing in all the situations of their daily living.
  • The brothers who are fighting in the war will be preserved by the Lord in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.

  • The Lord will comfort and sustain those who have lost loved ones in the war.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Vietnam

Pray for the ministry of the age to spread to the whole country and gain good materials for the building up of the Body through the distribution of seven Rhema books.

Eswatini

Eswatini, formerly called Swaziland, is one of the smallest countries in Africa bordered by South Africa and Mozambique. The Lord has been moving swiftly in this country this year. One family from Asia migrated to the capital, Mbabane, for work, and this has strengthened the church life. Furthermore, some students, having touched the church life abroad, have returned to Eswatini as active participants. As a result, the number of saints in the church life has grown from a mere handful to 25, though the table meeting has not yet been established. The frequent traffic and blending with saints from South Africa has also been a source of blessing and encouragement.

Please pray that the Lord would establish the existing saints in Eswatini and release their function gradually by strengthening their life, vision and burden. For His purpose, also pray for more saints to visit and even to consider migrating there.

Reaching the High Peak of God's Eternal Economy by Praying

"Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, then I will come in to him and dine with him and he with Me." (Rev. 3:20)

"And I saw, and behold, the Lamb standing on Mount Zion, and with Him a hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads." (Rev. 14:1)

In the book of Revelation what the Lord wants and what the Lord will build up is Zion, the overcomers. This is the intrinsic reality of the spiritual revelation in the holy Word of God. We surely need to be desperate to pray at any cost and to pay the cost just as the apostle Paul did.

There is no other way to reach the high peak of God's eternal economy, the reality of the Body of Christ, except by praying. Our becoming the overcomers as the reality of the Body of Christ to be the bride of Christ will close this age, the age of the church, and will bring Christ as the King of glory back to take, possess, and rule over this earth with His overcomers in the kingdom age. (CS 1 and 2 Kings, msg. 10, II.B, E)

Semiannual Video Training

For saints in Los Angeles and Santa Clarita, the firm registration deadline for the upcoming Semiannual Video Training is this Lord's Day, December 11 ($130). Information and registration are at http://tinyurl.com/wintertrainingla.

This training will be a crystallization-study of Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther. In preparation, saints are encouraged to read the Recovery Version text with footnotes and the Life-studies.

Pray for as many saints as possible to be released and available to attend. May the Lord grant us to treasure these trainings and seize every opportunity to attend them not only to see the intrinsic essence of the divine revelation but also to serve as a proper audience for the unhindered release of the crystals in the Word of God.

UCLA Winter Blending Trip

From December 10 to 13, 24 saints from UCLA (18 students, 6 serving ones) will travel to Boise, Idaho to blend with the saints there. Please pray that everyone would enjoy the reality of the one Body, get out of their comfort zone to blend with others, and experience the all-fitting life during their travels.

Liverpool, United Kingdom

Following much prayer, fellowship, and recent migrations, according to the Lord's arrangement, the first Lord's table in Liverpool will take place this weekend, December 11. The saints there are full of joy that the Lord is gaining another city for His testimony, and they exercise their spirit of faith to believe that the Lord will continue to grow, increase, and spread in the UK and Europe for the glory, honor, and praise of the Triune God! Please pray for a strong start and healthy continuation of the church in Liverpool.

  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • Saints in all countries involved will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.
  • The Lord will comfort and sustain those who have lost loved ones in the war.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Turkey

Pray for Rhema readers who are open to this ministry and seeking the Lord; may the Lord speak to them continually, save them from religion, bring them to participate in the church life and perfect them.

Zambia

The church life in Zambia started in 2002 through the visitation of saints from South Africa. In the past few months the Lord has intensified His move through the stay of two brothers from Asia who have labored to shepherd, establish, and perfect the saints.

Through the saints' enjoyment and functioning, there has also been a significant increase in the number of new ones. While about 41 saints gather regularly on the Lord's Day, another 70 seeking ones also participate in the church life. Most gatherings take place in the capital city of Lusaka, as well as in Livingstone, a border town next to Victoria Falls.

Growing into a Holy Temple in the Lord

"Out from whom all the Body, being joined together and being knit together through every joint of the rich supply and through the operation in the measure of each one part, causes the growth of the Body unto the building up of itself in love." (Eph. 4:16)

"In whom all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord." (Eph. 2:21)

In Christ, who is the cornerstone, "all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord." Since the building is living, it is growing because it is organic. This building is growing into a holy temple, a holy dwelling place of God. This indicates that the holy temple is a living building. Apparently, growth and building are separate things; actually, the building of the house is the growth of the Body. The growth of the Body depends on the growth of God, the addition of God, the increase of God, within us. For God to give us growth actually means that He gives us Himself. The more God is added to us, the more growth He gives.

The threefold God—God the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—is dispensing Himself into us as life and as our life supply. As long as the processed and consummated Triune God is dispensing Himself into us as life, we are nourished and we grow. In the churches we should care for the genuine growth through the dispensing of the divine life. (CS 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 8, III, C, 1-2, 4.a, 4.b(1)-(2), 5.a-c)

Thanksgiving Conference

The general subject of this weekend's Thanksgiving Conference in Washington, DC is "The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Divine Economy." For the church in Los Angeles, we will gather by languages on Zoom and/or in-person. Details will be communicated by hall.

Let us prepare ourselves for this upcoming time of ministry and sanctify these days for the hearing of faith among us. Pray for the full release of the Lord's word and burden during this weekend. May the Lord bless His recovery through His speaking and dispensing of Himself more into us to accomplish the goal of His eternal economy, the New Jerusalem.

Southern California College Conference

Thank you for your prayers for our second and final college conference, which took place at Oak Glen this weekend. Over 200 saints gathered from colleges across Southern California (including UCLA, CSUN, and LA community colleges), as well as some traveling from the Central Coast. From LA, 62 saints participated, including students, recent college graduates, trainees, and working saints. The weekend was full of God's appearing! All who participated certainly received a fresh infusion of faith.

Please pray that everyone who attended would continue steadfastly in what they saw and heard. May the God of glory appear to each one daily and infuse them with Himself as faith through His Word!

FTTA

The application deadline for the Spring 2023 term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim is Wednesday, November 30. Please pray for many college graduates, young working saints, and middle aged saints to answer God's call to go to the training next term.

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian brothers fighting in the war will be preserved in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.

  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Tajikistan

Pray for the saints to receive grace and progress in language learning daily that they can present the truth and minister life to others. Pray for the saints to abide in the vine, absorb His riches, and become fruitful branches; may the Lord bless the saints with two fruits in the coming six months.

Going On with the Lord

"Therefore leaving the word of the beginning of Christ, let us be brought on to maturity." (Heb. 6:1a)

"In whom all the building, being fitted together, is growing into a holy temple in the Lord; in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling place of God in spirit." (Eph. 2:21-22)

Within us there is a hunger and thirst for something higher in the church life than we have yet experienced. The dissatisfaction that we sense is really not ours but the Lord's. The Lord within us is aspiring to go on from the tabernacle church life in the wilderness of the soul to the temple church life with Christ, the all-inclusive Spirit, as the reality of the good land in our spirit. (CWWL, 1979, vol. 1, "Life Messages, Volume 2," p. 280-281; Crystallization-study of 1 & 2 Kings, msg. 6, I)

Just as the temple was the enlargement of the tabernacle, may the church gradually be strengthened and enlarged, and may the saints' spiritual experiences also gradually be renewed and enlarged!

Life's Washing in Love for the Church Life

"If I then, the Lord and the Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another's feet… If you know these things, blessed are you if you do them." (John 13:14, 17)

Each of us must learn how to love the brothers and sisters by ministering the spiritual foot-washing to them… This is what we need. This is the real love that maintains the fellowship among us. It is by this kind of foot-washing and wiping that the spiritual fellowship can maintain the church life. Without it, the church life cannot be maintained, because the fellowship will have been damaged by the earthly touch. We need the spiritual foot-washing to cleanse us from the earthly touch and to keep our spiritual fellowship in a good condition. Then it is possible to realize the church life.

If the church life is to be kept fresh, new, pleasant, and living, we continually need this foot-washing. Every local church needs this… Every church needs to pray for this. Then the church will be preserved in newness and freshness. (Life-study of John, ch. 28, pp. 342-343)

United States

"I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men; on behalf of kings and all who are in high position, that we may lead a quiet and tranquil life in all godliness and gravity. This is good and acceptable in the sight of our Savior God, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth." (1 Tim. 2:1-4)

The U.S. midterm elections conclude on Tuesday, November 8. All the seats in the House of Representatives are up for election, alongside one-third of the Senate; several major states, including California, also have elections for their governor and local officials, including the mayor of Los Angeles.

Pray to release on earth the authority of the "Ruler of the kings of the earth" (Rev. 1:5) for His choice of elected officials. We pray for the heavens to rule and for the outcome to advance God's interests in our city and state, in this country, and over the whole earth.

Bibles for America

In April of this year, BfA began giving away free physical copies of Basic Elements of the Christian Life, vols.1-3. Since then, over 10,000 of these book sets have been sent out to people all over the country. Please pray that all those who receive these books would read them and would advance in their life with the Lord. Pray also that the volunteers who faithfully package these book sets would be strengthened and supplied to fulfill the constant stream of orders in a timely way.

Southern California College Conference

Thank you, saints, for your prayers for the first college conference, which took place at Oak Glen this past weekend. The Lord truly answered our prayers! We had 281 saints from Southern California in attendance. The singing was high and the Lord's speaking was rich and fresh! From USC, 27 saints participated, including trainees, local saints, students and some recent college graduates. Everyone who signed up made it to the conference and enjoyed the Lord's speaking.

Please pray that the Lord would cause all of those who attended to continue steadfastly in all that they saw and heard. Pray that they would enjoy the Lord's appearing every day this week!

Germany – Stuttgart Meeting Hall

We thank the Lord that the purchase contract for the meeting hall in Stuttgart has been signed! The location is excellent: close to where many saints live and to the university, with easy access to public transport; next to the property is a public park with playgrounds and spacious green areas for picnics, recreation, and gospel outreach. Renovation will be extensive due to the age of the building.

Please continue to pray for the release of the finances needed for the acquisition and renovation of this meeting hall. Saints in LA who are burdened to contribute may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Stuttgart Meeting Hall'.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Russian and Ukrainian brothers fighting in the war will be preserved in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • The saints in Russia and Ukraine will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

As the Lord leads, saints may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Ukraine'.

Sri Lanka

The official languages in Sri Lanka are Sinhala and Tamil, and English is widely used in formal contexts. For translation of the ministry, the serving ones mainly focus on Sinhala and obtain materials in Tamil from India. Since the Sinhala NT Recovery Version project began in May 2021, the team has completed all verses, footnotes, and outlines of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. The entire project is scheduled to finish in five years. At present, please pray for the printing of the Sinhala Recovery Version of the Gospel of Matthew and the translation of the Epistle of 1 Corinthians.
