Praying for the Lord's Coming

"He who testifies these things says, Yes, I come quickly. Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!" (Rev. 22:20)

The first part of this verse is the Lord's third warning in chapter twenty-two of Revelation regarding His soon coming. The last part is the apostle John's prayer and response to the Lord's warning. It is also the last prayer in the Bible. After reading the book of Revelation, we also should have such a prayer and response—"Come, Lord Jesus!" This was John's desire expressed as a prayer. Therefore, the whole Bible concludes with a desire for the Lord's coming expressed as a prayer. (The Conclusion of the New Testament: The Believers, vol. 2, p. 1946)

"When He comes, faith will be turned to facts, and praise will replace prayer. Love will consummate in a shadowless perfection, and we will serve Him in the sinless domain. What a day that will be! Lord Jesus, come quickly!" (Watchman Nee, The Song of Songs, p. 126).

Pray that the word released in the Southern California Labor Day Conference would operate in all the saints. May we follow the pattern of the Apostle John and Brother Nee to hasten the day of the Lord's return by praying, "Lord Jesus, come quickly!"

Loving the Lord with the First Love

The Lord's recovery is a recovery of loving the Lord with the first love, the best love, and of eating the Lord Jesus as the tree of life for the building up of the organic Body of Christ, which is the building up of the New Jerusalem as the goal of God's eternal economy.

To enjoy the Lord as the tree of life, we must tell Him all the time, "Lord Jesus, I love You." If we have a burning love toward the Lord Jesus, giving Him the first place in all things, we will enjoy all that He is.

When we love Him, He will manifest Himself to us, and He and the Father will come to us and make Their abode with us. Thus, we need to pray prayers such as, "Lord, show me Your love, and constrain me with Your love that I may love You and live to You"; "Lord, keep me loving You all the time." We must continually tell the Lord, "Lord Jesus, I love You; Lord, keep me in Your love! Attract me with Yourself! Keep me all the time in Your loving and present presence." (Taking the Way of Enjoying Christ as the Tree of Life, msg. 3, III, A, E)

Living According to the Principle of Life

"That the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who do not walk according to the flesh but according to the spirit." (Rom. 8:4)

"For the mind set on the flesh is death, but the mind set on the spirit is life and peace." (Rom. 8:6)

The two trees in Genesis 2:9—the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil—represent two principles of living. The two trees show that a Christian can live according to two different principles—the principle of right and wrong or the principle of life. When we received the Lord Jesus and gained a new life, we obtained another principle of living—the principle of life. If we do not know this principle, we will set the principle of life aside and follow the principle of right and wrong. Being a Christian is not a matter of asking whether something is right or wrong. It is a matter of checking with the life inside of us whenever we do something.

In order to live according to the principle of life, we need to follow the inner sense of life. The sense of life is subjective, personal, and practical. The sense of life on the negative side is the feeling of death. The sense of life on the positive side is the feeling of life and peace, with a consciousness of strength, satisfaction, rest, brightness, and comfort. We need to pray ourselves into the sense of life and live under its controlling, guiding, and directing element day by day. The more we walk according to the spirit and follow the sense of life, the more we will live according to the principle of life. (Taking the Way of Enjoying Christ as the Tree of Life, msg. 2, I, B-D; IV, A, 1-2, E-F)

Southern California Labor Day Conference

From September 2 to 4, the churches in Southern California will participate by clusters in an online conference. The general subject will be "The Lord's Coming." Outlines and Zoom meeting information will be communicated by halls and languages. The meeting schedule is as follows:

Meeting 1: Friday, Sep 2.............. 7:30 PM
Meeting 2: Saturday, Sep 3....... 10:30 AM
Meeting 3: Saturday, Sep 3......... 7:30 PM
Meeting 4: Lord's Day, Sep 4.... 10:30 AM

Please pray for as many saints as possible to participate. Let us sanctify this weekend by setting aside our time and presenting our tripartite beings to hear what the Spirit would speak to the churches.

CSUN

Cal State Northridge begins classes this week. During the pandemic, we have not had much presence on the campus and our club is an unofficial one. And yet seeking students continue to contact us through our club website and email. In this new academic year, although we only have a handful of students and a few gospel friends, there is a renewed desire to establish something more regular and solid into which we can bring contacts in cooperation with the Lord to gain remaining fruit for His building. Please pray:

  • For the Lord to continue to blend our own students together.
  • For the gospel friends to be connected and find a home with the saints.
  • For the resumption of the campus club and the weekly Bible study.

FTTL – Bower House

The need for enlarged facilities for the training center in Europe is now growing as the Lord's move in Europe advances. Country by country and city by city, the Lord is gaining this continent and raising up young people from among the children of the saints and from the college campuses. The fields are white, and the need is greater than ever for a group of trained saints, constituted with the riches in the Word and in the ministry to be raised up and thrust out.

At present, our heart is simply to present this burden and to open it in a fresh way to the Lord's recovery for your prayer and fellowship. May the Lord bless and strengthen the Full-time Training in London and continue to raise up an army for His move in Europe.

Zürich, Switzerland

It is with great joy that the saints in Zürich are anticipating the resumption of the Lord's table in that city. They are thankful for the prayers of the saints and churches throughout the years. The meeting will be on Lord's Day, November 6 with a mini-conference that weekend. For saints who wish to attend, conference and hotel information are posted at http://en.zurich2022.info and registration is due September 25.

Pray for the Lord's blessing in establishing more of His shining lampstands in many other cities in Switzerland, Europe, and all over the earth for the building up of the Body and the preparation of the Bride for His return.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The 32 Ukrainian young people who attended the European Young People's Conference will remain in the Lord's word and be prepared as God's overcomers.
  • The Warsaw extension of FTT Moscow will be under the Lord's blessing as the new semester begins.
  • The Lord will use the fourth cycle of the gospel and shepherding trips, from September 8 to 25, to care for the Ukrainian refugees in Poland in Warsaw, Krakow, and Wrocław.
  • The local saints and serving ones will be blended with the Ukrainian refugees for the strengthening and building up of the Lord's testimony in key European cities.
  • The saints in Russia and Ukraine will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man, where Christ is all the members and in all the members.

Turkey

Please pray for the church life in Istanbul; may the English-speaking, Turkish-speaking and Chinese-speaking saints remain in the enjoyment of the word of God with their time and whole being released to participate the church life and be strengthened, grounded and perfected for the building up of the Body.

Seeing a Vision of Enjoying Christ as the Tree of Life

"There He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground Jehovah God caused to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight and good for food, as well as the tree of life in the middle of the garden and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." (Gen. 2:8b-9)

"To him who overcomes, to him I will give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the Paradise of God." (Rev. 2:7b)

The tree of life typifies Christ who imparts life to man and who pleases and satisfies man. Eating the tree of life, that is, enjoying Christ as our life supply, should be the primary matter in the church life. (Life-study of Genesis, p. 141; Rev. 2:7, footnote 6)

To see that God wants us to enjoy Him and that He does not want us to do anything for Him is to see that the Christian life is a matter of enjoyment… If our concept is changed so that we see these two points, it will be easy for us to live a life of enjoying God. If we want to take the way of enjoying God, we must have a change of concept… If we want to enter into the reality of the enjoyment of God, we must see a controlling vision. (The Vision of the Tree of Life and the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, pp. 60, 51)

May all the saints be desperate to see a vision of the tree of life and live a life of enjoying God!

USC

The University of Southern California begins classes this week. Please pray:

  • For our existing students to have a new, fresh beginning in the Lord!
  • For our students to be freshly burdened and coordinated together for the outreach and gospel at USC.
  • For the Lord to prepare many new students' hearts to be open to Him and to connect with us in the first two weeks of the semester via our club tabling and events. We have many students who are graduating this year and need the Lord to add in some freshmen and sophomores for His testimony!

Wednesday Night Ministry Meetings

The Wednesday Night Ministry Meeting resumes this week on August 24. Only FTTA trainees and staff are allowed to attend the live meetings in person; therefore, the saints and churches in Southern California are invited to watch the meeting free of charge via webcast starting at 7:25 pm at http://lsm.org/live. The meeting will be broadcast in English, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, and Korean.

Please pray for the ministry of the Lord's word week by week and for as many saints as possible to take advantage of the live broadcast format to be nourished and edified. Pray for the Lord's continued blessing of the Full-time Training in Anaheim and covering of all trainees and serving ones.

GTCA Cities – Cincinnati and Nashville

Please continue to pray for the migration of burdened saints and the strengthening of the Lord's testimony in our target cities (Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Memphis and Nashville, TN; Normal, IL; Omaha, NE; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL; and Virginia Beach, VA) and campus teams (Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Lexington, KY; Pittsburgh, PA; Columbia SC; St. Louis, MO; and Tampa, FL).

UK & Ireland Blending Conference

Blending is the reality of the Body of Christ. The subject of this year's UK and Ireland blending conference, which takes place August 27 to 28 in Leeds, is "God's Economy in Faith."

Please pray for the Lord's speaking and the saints' response in joining themselves to His speaking for the carrying out of His move in Europe. Pray that the saints and churches in the UK and Ireland would be strengthened in their experience and enjoyment of the Triune God as their faith, and that they would be blended together for the further building of Christ's Body and the preparation of His Bride.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The 32 Ukrainian young people who attended the European Young People's Conference will remain in the Lord's word and be prepared as God's overcomers.
  • The Warsaw extension of FTT Moscow will be under the Lord's blessing as the new semester begins.

  • The saints in Russia and Ukraine will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man, where Christ is all the members and in all the members.

Germany – Stuttgart Meeting Hall

The church in Stuttgart has identified a suitable meeting facility close to where many saints live and to the university, with easy access to public transport. Next to the property is a public park with playgrounds and spacious green areas for picnics, recreation, and gospel outreach. The total project costs, including extensive renovation, are estimated to be 2,775,000 euros.

Please pray for timely approval from the city and for adequate giving. Saints in LA who are burdened to contribute may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Stuttgart Meeting Hall'.

Togo

Togo is a West African, French-speaking country with over 8.5 million people, situated between Ghana and Benin. There are currently churches in six localities, including the capital Lomé, and they practice maintaining fellowship with one another; every two months all the saints in the country gather together for blending. For the spreading of the gospel, the saints distribute literature and conduct door-knocking. May the Lord continue to recover other localities in order to win all of Togo for His testimony!

To read more, as well as reports on Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire, see the July issue of the Lord's Move to Africa newsletter in English or Chinese at http://www.lmafrica.org.

Sri Lanka

Pray for all the suffering saints during the current economic crisis, that they can receive God's abounding grace through His secret care. Pray that the Lord would use the new government to recover the economic situation and that all the church activities would be intensified without any hindrance.

The Need of the Dead – Life's Resurrecting

"Jesus said to her, I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes into Me, even if he should die, shall live; and everyone who lives and believes into Me shall by no means die forever. Do you believe this?" (John 11:25-26)

In the Lord's salvation He does not merely heal the sick; He also gives life to the dead. Hence, He remained two days until the sick one had died. The Lord does not reform or regulate people—He regenerates people and raises them out of death. Hence, the first of the nine cases in chapters 3 through 11 was a case of regeneration, and the last was a case of resurrection, revealing that all the aspects of Christ as life to us, as unveiled in the other seven cases, are in the principle of regeneration and resurrection. This last case was the actual changing of death into life. (John 11:14, footnote 1)

The Lord said to Martha, "I am the resurrection and the life," and asked her, "Do you believe this?" She answered, "Yes, Lord; I have believed that You are the Christ, the Son of God." Her reply did not answer the Lord's question. Her old, preoccupying knowledge covered her, preventing her from understanding the Lord's new word. Man's old knowledge and old opinions are coverings that keep him from knowing clearly the Lord's new revelation. (John 11:27, footnote 1)

In the church in LA, may human opinions be subdued that resurrection life could be manifested!

FTTA

The fall term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim begins this week. Please pray that all the trainees and serving ones would be fresh and new as they start this term. Pray also for all trainees to arrive—some are still in the process. May the Lord cover each one's tripartite being and gain the full glory and benefit for His interests and move on the earth.

UCLA

Several of our UCLA students have given two weeks of their summer to serve the Lord, spending time to be built together and perfected in their function to build up the Body of Christ. They will also participate in outreach to incoming UCLA freshmen who are attending orientations and other summer programs throughout this next month. Please pray that:

  • Our serving students would learn much and be supplied to function organically in their measure.
  • The Lord would operate in the freshman class to stir up many to seek God and seek genuine fellowship.
  • In one accord, all the ones laboring at UCLA could have adequate prayer and warm, face-to-face contact with many freshmen during the summer.

Our Young People

The LAUSD 2022-23 academic year started on Monday, August 15 with other schools having already begun, or beginning soon. Please pray for all our young people to be encouraged by the God of peace (Rom. 16:20) and strengthened to be factors of life in their schools (John 7:38).

GTCA Cities – Normal and Tampa

Please continue to pray for the migration of burdened saints and the strengthening of the Lord's testimony in our target cities (Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Memphis and Nashville, TN; Normal, IL; Omaha, NE; St. Louis, MO; Tampa, FL; and Virginia Beach, VA) and campus teams (Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Lexington, KY; Pittsburgh, PA; Columbia SC; St. Louis, MO; and Tampa, FL).

This weekend there will be virtual tours of Normal (Saturday, August 20, 2:00 pm PT) and Tampa (Lord's Day, August 21, 2:00 pm PT). More information and links will be posted at http://gtca.us.

For longer term use, after approval from the city in 6 to 12 months, more extensive restorations and installations will be necessary to meet current building codes. The total project costs are estimated to be 2,775,000 euros.

Please pray for timely approval from the city and for adequate giving. Saints in LA who are burdened to contribute may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Stuttgart Meeting Hall'.

Pakistan

Since the beginning of the Lord's move in Pakistan in 2012, many ministry books have been translated into the Urdu language. So far, 58 ministry titles have been translated, along with the Life-study of Genesis, the Holy Word for Morning Revival from 36 conferences and trainings, and some home meeting materials. Seven Rhema books have been translated and are ready for typesetting, and 501 hymns have been translated and recorded. The saints have also done a preliminary translation of the verses of the NT Recovery Version to meet the needs of shepherding and the day-to-day church life.

Coming to the Lord and Drinking Him by Calling on His Name

"Now on the last day, the great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried out, saying, If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink." (John 7:37)

"For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord is Lord of all and rich to all who call upon Him; For 'whoever calls upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.'" (Rom. 10:12-13)

In order to receive the living water of life, man must first sense his thirst. This inward thirst compels man to come to the Lord Jesus. When you feel thirsty, you need to come to the Lord Jesus in a simple way. You should come without hesitation or reservation. (CWWL 1950-1951, vol. 3, "Changing Death into Life," ch. 6, pp. 143-144)

God has poured out His Spirit, and we receive the outpoured Spirit by calling on the name of the Lord. By calling "O Lord Jesus!" we receive the outpoured Spirit. By calling on the name of the Lord, we participate in all His riches, and these riches are in the all-inclusive Spirit. In order to drink the all-inclusive Spirit by calling on the name of the Lord, we must exercise our entire being, and especially our spirit, when we call. As we call "O Lord Jesus" by exercising our entire being, the all-inclusive Spirit has a way to be released from within us, and then He has a way to get into us more. (CWWL 1970, vol. 2, "Drinking the All-inclusive Spirit for the Practice of the Church Life and the Central Work of God," ch. 1, pp. 312-313)

Our Young People

Please continue to pray for our young people to go on in the way of life—especially as they start the next school year. Pray for our junior high and high schoolers to enter into a normal, age-appropriate Christian living by freshly turning to the Lord every morning, learning to converse with Him, reading His word daily, and flowing out to magnify Christ!

FTTA and FTTA-XB

The fall term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim and Extension in Boston begins next week. Please pray for all of those serving the trainees, that they themselves would enjoy the Lord's serving of them as their abounding grace. Also, pray for a safe return for all the trainees and a healthy, strong beginning in the Lord together.

GTCA Cities and Virtual Tours

Please continue to pray for the migration of burdened saints and the strengthening of the Lord's testimony in our 2022-2023 target cities (Columbus, OH; Nashville, TN; Normal, IL; Omaha, NE; Tampa, FL; and Virginia Beach, VA) and campus teams (Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Lexington, KY; Pittsburgh, PA; Columbia SC; St. Louis, MO; and Tampa, FL).

This Saturday, August 13 there will be virtual tours featuring Virginia Beach (1:00 pm PT) and Omaha (3:00 pm PT). More information and links will be posted at http://gtca.us.

Bibles for America

At the recent World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, saints from four localities gave away Bibles, ministry books, and gospel tracts to people from at least 42 nations. The saints enjoyed the prayer, fellowship, and mutual encouragement each morning before they went out to distribute materials.

In total, 951 copies of the NT Recovery Version were given away, in addition to a number of books and tracts. Please pray that all the recipients would have an open heart as they read what they received. Pray that the Word of God would operate in them, causing them to grow and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.

Germany — Stuttgart Meeting Hall

The church in Stuttgart has not had a permanent meeting location since the Plieningen meeting hall, the former meeting hall that brother Witness Lee designed, was taken over by the opposers in the late 1980s. The church has been meeting in rented venues since then. Currently, there are around 65 saints and 15 children and young people in the church.

A suitable facility has been identified and its location is ideal. It is close to many saints and to the university with easy access to public transport. Next to the property is a public park with playgrounds and spacious green areas for picnics, recreation, and gospel outreach.

Due to its age and condition, the property will require extensive renovation. Immediate needs include better soundproofing and some cosmetic repairs.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • Adequate housing will be found for the Ukrainian saints who expect to remain in Europe.
  • The Lord will continue to shepherd the Ukrainian refugees in Europe and bring the chosen ones to believe into Christ and enter the church life.
  • The Lord will open a way for several thousand Russian NT Recovery Versions to enter into Europe and be distributed among the refugees.

Announcements

  1. Morning Revival: Week 4 of our morning revival topic on "Life in the Gospel of John." On August 22, we begin Taking the Way of Enjoying Christ as the Tree of Life (Memorial Day Conference).

The Need of the Hungry – Life's Feeding

"Jesus answered them and said… Work not for the food which perishes, but for the food which abides unto eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you; for Him has the Father, even God, sealed. Then they said to Him, What shall we do that we may work the works of God? Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that you believe into Him whom He has sent." (John 6:26-29)

In verses 22 through 31 we find the seekers after the perishing food. They were seeking satisfaction. Regardless of the kind of food people are seeking, they all are seeking satisfaction. These people were trying to do something and to work for God... The concept of fallen man toward God is always that he must do something for God and work for God. This is the principle of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil in Genesis 2.

The Lord's concept concerning man toward God is that he believe in Him, that is, receive Him as the life and life supply. This is the principle of the tree of life in Genesis 2. The answer to the seeking after the perishing food is to receive the Lord by believing in Him... When we receive the Lord Jesus, we get the Spirit who gives life. (Life-study of John, pp. 192-193, 199)

LA Truth School Follow-up

Our 2022 Truth School concluded this past Saturday with a glorious overflow from the young people as they shared their enjoyment from the week on "Life in Gospel of John." This is just the beginning: we have to continue to pray for the YP to go on in the way of life—especially as they start the next school year. Please pray that our YP would enter into a normal, age-appropriate Christian living by:

  • freshly turning to the Lord every morning;
  • learning to converse with Him;
  • reading His word daily; and
  • flowing out to magnify Christ!

European Young People's Conference

The EYPC is happening in-person this week from July 31 to August 6 in Małe Ciche, Poland. Please pray for the Lord's speaking to the European young people and their response by loving and being one with the Lord Jesus to turn the age. Pray also for the health of the YP and serving ones.

Brazil – São Paulo Meeting Hall

Recently, there was fellowship concerning the acquisition of a suitable property that could serve the church in São Paulo as well as the work of the Lord in Brazil and even all of South America. The price including repairs is US$1,563,600; $800,000 is still needed. The full payment is due by mid-August.

Please pray for the financial need to be met and for all repairs to be completed in a timely manner. As the Lord leads, saints may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Sao Paulo'.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • Adequate housing will be found for the Ukrainian saints who expect to remain in Europe.
  • The Lord will use the shepherding gospel trips in key cities in Europe to bring the chosen ones among the Ukrainian refugees to believe into Christ and enter into the church life.

As the Lord leads, saints may give through the Church in Los Angeles designated for 'Ukraine'.

Bangladesh

In recent years, the three volumes of the Basic Elements of the Christian Life booklets have been translated into Bengali and 10,000 copies of each volume were printed; The Economy of God was also translated and 500 copies were printed. Up until the end of 2021, seventy percent of these books had been given to the saints for their enjoyment in various meetings; the remaining copies are being distributed this year. As most of the new believers are from a Hindu background and do not own any Bible, 2,000 copies of the William Kelly version in Bengali were distributed and saints were encouraged to read it together.

For the practical need of shepherding, please pray that the Recovery Version can be translated soon to meet the great need in this country. Pray also for the ministry distribution so that the word of God can spread and increase and more seeking ones can be gained.

The Immoral Needing Life's Satisfying

"Jesus answered and said to her, If you knew the gift of God and who it is who says to you, Give Me a drink, you would have asked Him, and He would have given you living water." (John 4:10)

"But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall by no means thirst forever; but the water that I will give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into eternal life." (John 4:14)

In [John 4:9-14] we see the contrast between the emptiness of religion's tradition and the fullness of life's living water… Although religion considers its way to be the most prevailing, yet religion's "water" never quenches the thirst of religious people… To "ask" is more prevailing than religion's way. The living water of God quenches our thirst and becomes a spring of water welling up into eternal life. Death's thirst is quenched by life. In principle, this also is to change death into life.

May the Lord impress us with what is proper worship. The proper worship is continually to drink the living water. God the Spirit is the living water, and our organ for drinking the living water is our human spirit. Whenever we exercise our human spirit to contact God, the living Spirit, we drink of Him as the living water in His Son, Jesus Christ. (Life-study of John, pp. 138-140, 150)

LA Truth School

Last Friday we began our Truth School. As each session progressed, so did the flow of the river of life, gushing up and springing up within all of our precious junior high and high school saints. Their hearts were opened up to see that our Lord Jesus came as life (John 1), that He quenches our thirst as living water (John 3 and 4), that He satisfies our hunger as the bread of life (John 6), and that He even meets the need of the dead as the One who is the resurrection and the life (John 11).

Please pray for a glorious continuation this week as our young people and serving ones endeavor in smaller groups to read the accompanying portions in John and be further impressed that their real need is Christ as life. Also pray that in their teenage years, our young people would lay the groundwork for a healthy diet in God's word, a solid foundation they could draw from all the days of their lives.

The 2022 Truth School concludes this Saturday, July 30.

UCLA Summer Freshmen Outreach

This summer, UCLA is hosting ten weekly orientations for incoming freshmen. The third three-day session starts on Tuesday, July 26 with an afternoon club fair. This is a wonderful opportunity for us to meet and connect with incoming students. So far we have 25 sign-ups from the two previous orientations. At the same time, we are also reaching out to incoming freshmen online through social media platforms such as Instagram. A good number are looking for fellowship and eager to meet up with us.

Please pray that we could meet many seekers and sons of peace on campus and online during this summer. May the Lord find these students and gain them to be remaining fruit for the church!

North America Chinese-speaking Perfecting Training

The 2022 North America Chinese-speaking Perfecting Training will be held online from July 27 to 31. This training is for Chinese-speaking saints who would like to be perfected in the areas of truth, life and service. The subject will be "The New Testament Priesthood." Over 3,200 saints from 172 churches have registered, including 30 saints from Los Angeles, and even many from Europe, Africa, and Asia.

Please pray that the saints attending the training would:

  • Prepare themselves as trainees, open their hearts, and have the spirit of an instructed one.
  • Be encouraged by all the speaking and fellowship, and touch the burden of the training.
  • Consecrate themselves for the New Testament priesthood, and enter into daily exercise for the priesthood after the training.

Bibles for America

As of mid-July BfA has sent out over 95,000 free NT Recovery Versions this year. Pray "that the word of the Lord may run and be glorified" (2 Thes. 3:1) and that all the recipients will experience "the word of God, which also operates in you who believe" (1 Thes. 2:13).

European Young People's Conference

This year's EYPC will be held in-person from July 31 to August 6 in Małe Ciche, Poland for the first time since the pandemic. Please pray for the Lord's speaking to the European young people and their response by loving and enjoying the Lord Jesus as the tree of life.

Man's Needing Regeneration

"Jesus answered and said to him, Truly, truly, I say to you, Unless one is born anew, he cannot see the kingdom of God." (John 3:3)

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that every one who believes into Him would not perish, but would have eternal life." (John 3:16)

When Nicodemus came to the Lord Jesus, the Lord took the opportunity to reveal the true need of mankind. In His conversation with Nicodemus, the Lord revealed that regardless of how good we are, we still need regeneration… Moral people, as well as immoral people, need regeneration.

[Nicodemus] might have thought that he needed better teachings to improve himself. But the Lord's answer in [John 3:3] unveiled to him that his need was to be born anew. To be born anew is to be regenerated with the divine life, a life other than the human life received by natural birth. Hence, his real need was not better teachings, but the divine life. Nicodemus was seeking for teachings which belong to the tree of knowledge, but the Lord's answer turned him to the need of life, which belongs to the tree of life… All of us must realize that what we need is not religion or teaching to regulate and correct us, but another life, the life of God, to regenerate us. Man needs regeneration because he needs the divine life. Regardless of how good you are, you still do not have the life of God. You need another birth in order to receive the life of God with His divine nature. (Life's Regenerating—The Need of the Moral, pp. 9, 11-12)

LA Truth School

"In Him was life, and the life was the light of men." (John 1:4)

This weekend the church in LA will begin its 2022 Truth School for our junior high and high school young people (July 22 to 30). The topic is "Life in the Gospel of John." Please pray for the Lord to prepare the hearts of the YP to be open to His word and appearing during this time. Also, pray for the Lord to bless the atmosphere and coordination among those serving.

College Trainings

Last week's Southwest College Training at Oak Glen was blessed by the Lord in a special way through all of the prayers of the saints! 306 saints attended mainly from California, Nevada, Arizona, and Texas, including 220 college students. This includes 37 students and 12 serving ones from LA. The atmosphere in the training ascended day by day, reaching a peak with some sobering words concerning being saved from this crooked generation by positively giving ourselves to build the ark today by fully entering into the church life! Not only did the Lord gain ground in the hearts of the students, He also greatly encouraged many through this precious, in-person blending that they had not experienced for the last two years. We also thank the Lord for keeping everyone healthy to participate in the meetings—only one person in the entire training tested positive for Covid in the very last meeting.

Please pray that the students would immediately apply what they heard and take practical steps to enter into the corporate church life this week! Pray that they would continue to encourage one another to continue steadfastly in the word, prayer, meetings of the church, and day-by-day and house-to-house church life! May they be preserved from Satan's hand to meet God's need today!

Meanwhile, the remaining regional trainings will take place this week from July 20 to 24 in Athens, Georgia; Champaign, Illinois; and Seattle, Washington. Around 650 saints are expected. May the Lord flow out in a mighty way to all of the attendees and that they would be inspired to be today's Noahs, building the ark to fulfill God's purpose and turn this age. In particular, pray for the students and serving ones in the midwest as the Lord is multiplying in a particular way in this area and the training there has almost 100 more saints attending than they were originally expecting!

Being Brought on to Maturity

Continue to pray for the word released during the July Semiannual Training on 1 and 2 Kings to enlighten, nourish, and motivate the saints to go on from the tabernacle church life to the temple church life for the building up of Zion, the overcomers.

Nordic-Baltic Conference

This summer's Nordic-Baltic Conference from July 22 to 25 will be held in a hybrid format and hosted by the churches in Stockholm and Uppsala, Sweden. Please pray for the Lord's timely speaking and for the blending of the saints in the Nordic countries, the Baltic States, and other Russian and English-speaking churches for the building up of the Body of Christ.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that the Lord will use the shepherding gospel trips in key cities in Europe to bring the chosen ones among the Ukrainian refugees to believe into Christ and enter into the church life. Also pray for the saints in Russia and Ukraine to be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man, where Christ is all the members and in all the members, and for the shipment of Russian NT Recovery Versions held up in customs to be released and distributed among the refugees in Europe

A reminder from the footnote on 1 Kings 8:48: "No matter for whom we are praying, our prayers should be aimed at the interests of God, i.e., at Christ and the church as God's interests on earth, for the fulfilling of God's economy."

Brazil – São Paolo Meeting Hall

Recently, there was fellowship concerning the acquisition of a suitable property that could serve the church in São Paolo as well as the work of the Lord in Brazil and even all of South America. India

Please pray for the new term of FTT New Delhi, which starts on July 18, that the Lord will release at least 20 new trainees this coming term.

Being Brought on to Maturity

"Not that I have already obtained or am already perfected, but I pursue." (Phil. 3:12a)

"…Let us be brought on to maturity." (Heb. 6:1a)

"Much more those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness will reign in life through the One, Jesus Christ." (Rom. 5:17b)

Solomon was a man full of natural ability but not a man of life, a man whose wisdom was a gift, not a measure of life. We should not have any trust in our natural being in the things of God; rather, we must learn to reject our natural being and exercise our spirit in everything for the organic building up of the Body of Christ. (Crystallization-study of 1 and 2 Kings, msg. 5, III, B)

The Lord within us is aspiring to go on. (Msg. 6, I)

The genuine Christian life is the life of an overcomer. If we have not reached the level of a king in our Christian life, we are still below the proper standard; we may say that we enjoy Christ, but to what degree, to what extent, do we enjoy Christ? God's complete salvation is for us to be saved in the life of Christ to reign in this life by the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness. (Msg. 12, I, B, D)

Lord, train us to receive Your abundance daily that we may have a rich supply to minister to others for the organic building of Your Body!

Entering into the Ministry of the Age

"Now David, having served his own generation by the counsel of God..." (Acts 13:36)

"For the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ." (Eph. 4:12)

In every age the Lord has special things that He wants to accomplish. The particular recovery and work that He does in one age is the ministry of that age. In the Old Testament, Noah had the ministry of that age to build the ark, Moses had the ministry of that age to build the tabernacle, and David and Solomon had the ministry of that age to build the temple.

Jonathan stood between Saul and David. He was one man standing between two ministries. He should have followed the second ministry, but because his relationship with the first ministry was too deep, he could not disentangle himself. It is God's mercy that a person can see and come into contact with the ministry of the age, yet it is altogether a different thing for a person to take up the courage to forsake past ministries and enter into God's present ministry.

May the Lord open our eyes to see that as long as we are human beings, we should be Christians; as long as we are Christians, we should enter into the Lord's ministry in this age. (Crystallization-study of 1 & 2 Samuel, msg. 12, III.D.1-2, D, D.6, 5)

Southwest College Training

This summer, five regional college trainings are being held around the US with a total expected attendance of over 1100 saints. Each college training is five days in length and has high potential for greatly deepening the Lord's work in the attending college students, especially the incoming freshmen. The title for the college training is "As in the Days of Noah."

The Southwest College Training, which includes Southern California, takes place this week from July 13 to 17 at Oak Glen. Around 300 saints are expected, including 39 students and 12 serving ones from LA. Please pray that the Lord would flow out in a mighty way to all of the attendees and that they would:

  • freshly touch the Lord personally in the morning;
  • be ready and willing to exercise their spirit;
  • remain healthy and safe, including while traveling;
  • endeavor to contribute to the fellowship in small group sessions; and
  • be inspired to be today's Noahs, building the ark to fulfill God's purpose and turn this age!

Bibles for America

We're so thankful to the Lord for all His provision in caring for the staff at BfA. As they labor in oneness with our Savior God's desire to sound out the word of the Lord, your intercession before the throne to cover and sustain their being and their work is treasured more than ever. Pray that they would continue to enjoy the Lord as their source, way, and goal and as the rich supply for their service, and remember their "work of faith, labor of love, and endurance of hope" in Christ on behalf of His interest.

Brazil – São Paolo Meeting Hall

For many years the brothers serving in the work in Brazil have been praying to the Lord with a view of acquiring a property that could serve the church in São Paolo as well as the work of the Lord in Brazil and even all of South America. Recently, a suitable property was found. This four-story building, which has 18,836 square feet of usable space, could serve as a meeting hall for 500 people with upper floors used for children's meetings, publication work, and more. The basement also has a parking garage.

The price of the property including needed repairs is US$1,563,600; approximately $800,000 is still needed. A deposit of $60,000 has been made; the rest of the payment will be due in mid-August. In addition to the churches and saints in Brazil, this need is being opened to the fellowship in the Body.

Please pray for the financial need to be met and for all necessary repairs to be completed in a timely manner. As the Lord leads, saints may give through the church in LA designated for 'Sao Paolo'.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray for the ruling of the heavens over the entire situation and for the Lord to use the shepherding gospel trips to Warsaw, Kraków, and Wrocław, Poland, in June and July to bring many to believe into Christ and lead many newly saved ones into the church life, where they can be perfected to be living and functioning members for the building up of the Body

A reminder from the footnote on 1 Kings 8:48: "No matter for whom we are praying, our prayers should be aimed at the interests of God, i.e., at Christ and the church as God's interests on earth, for the fulfilling of God's economy."

Sri Lanka

Pray for the economic situation to be recovered that the saints would receive the Lord's abounding grace without shortage and that all the church activities would be intensified without hindrance.

July Semiannual Training

The July Semiannual Training taking place this week in Anaheim (in-person) and LA (webcast) will cover the crystals in 1 and 2 Kings. Please pray that the Lord will richly anoint the release and receiving of His word and take a further step in His move on earth to build up His Body and prepare His bride for His coming back.

May we all enter into the divine truths in the Word that the Lord has released through His ministry by means of this training until we are constituted with these truths, enjoy the Lord as life according to these truths, and minister Him to others for the fulfillment of God's eternal purpose.

The Warring Christ and the Warring Church

"Let us rejoice and exult, and let us give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready. And it was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright and clean." (Rev 19:7-8a)

"His name is called the Word of God. And the armies which are in heaven followed Him on white horses, dressed in fine linen, white and clean." (Rev. 19:13b-14)

The church is both the bride who is presented to Christ and the warrior who fights with Him against God's enemy. At His coming again, the Lord Jesus firstly will meet His bride. After receiving the bride, Christ and the overcomers will enter into battle against the enemy.

In Revelation 19:7 and 8 we see that the bride is clothed in "fine linen, bright and clean." Then in verse 14 we see that the armies which follow the Lord into battle are "dressed in fine linen, white and clean." These verses indicate that the bride's wedding garment will also be the uniform she wears as God's army to fight against His enemy.

In Ephesians 5 and 6 we see the church as the bride and as the warrior. In Revelation 19 we also have these two aspects of the church… As the bride, we must be beautiful, without spot or wrinkle, and be clothed in fine linen. As the warrior, we must be equipped to fight against God's enemy. (Life-study of Ephesians, pp. 814-815)

FTTA

Last weekend, 89 trainees graduated from the FTTA, 15 from FTTA-XB, and 45 from FTTA-MA. Please continue to pray for all these ones to follow the Lamb wherever He may go, including the newly announced GTCA target cities and campus teams (see below). Pray also for many college graduates, young working saints, and middle aged saints to answer God's call to go to the training next term.

GTCA Cities

Please continue to pray for the migration of burdened saints and the strengthening of the Lord's testimony in our 2022-2023 target cities (Columbus, OH; Nashville, TN; Normal, IL; Omaha, NE; Tampa, FL; and Virginia Beach, VA) and campus teams (Cincinnati and Columbus, OH; Lexington, KY; Pittsburgh, PA; Columbia SC; St. Louis, MO; and Tampa, FL).

Ukraine

A reminder from the footnote on 1 Kings 8:48: "No matter for whom we are praying, our prayers should be aimed at the interests of God, i.e., at Christ and the church as God's interests on earth, for the fulfilling of God's economy." Continue to pray for the ruling of the heavens over the entire situation!

Europe
