Giving Heed to the Prophetic Word to Enjoy the Morning Star Rising in Our Hearts
“And we have the prophetic word made more firm, to which you do well to give heed as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.” (2 Pet. 1:19)
“And to him I will give the morning star.” (Rev. 2:28)
We love the Word by giving heed to it until something within is dawning and rising in our heart—not the knowledge, not the written code, but the breaking through of day, the rising of the shining star.
Sometimes we may take the Bible, read it, and feel that we receive nothing. Other times, however, when we open our heart and give heed to this prophetic word, something within is shining, rising, dawning, breaking through. While we are pray-reading the verses of the Bible, there is a sense deep within of enlightening, of shining, and this shining creates a love toward the Lord Jesus…We could say, “O Lord Jesus, I love You; I do not have words to express how lovely You are!” Many times by this shining we are beside ourselves with love to the Lord Jesus. That is Jesus coming to us as the dawning day, as the morning star rising in our hearts…Oh, it is wonderful! The situation may not be bright, the surroundings may be full of darkness, but something within is enlightening, shining, filling with glory. (CWWL, 1970, vol. 1, “New Testament Service,” pp. 288-289)
How pleasant it is for the morning star to rise up in our hearts! Although there may be darkness all around us, within us there is a morning star.
If we give heed to the prophecies of the Bible, we will experience a lamp shining within us, enjoy the morning star rising in our hearts, and have a spiritual day dawning within us. We may remain in this condition until the actual time comes when the Lord Jesus appears as the morning star and there is the dawning of day with Him as the Sun of righteousness. June 2026 Semiannual Training
“…If you abide in My word, you are truly My disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.” (John 8:31-32)
The Semiannual Training is next week, June 29 to July 4, at the Ministry Conference Center in Anaheim and by webcast in Los Angeles. The general subject is “The Believers (1).”
Please pray:
- For the Lord to bless all the preparations for the upcoming training and cover the travel of all the saints.
- That the speaking brothers be fully covered and strengthened in their tripartite being, in order to be one with the Lord in their speaking.
- For the speaking of the sevenfold intensified Spirit to all the churches in the recovery and for the saints’ response to the Spirit’s operation to intensify God’s organic salvation and build up the Lord’s bride for His soon return.
FTTA Graduations
This Saturday morning, June 27, is the graduation meeting for the 2026 Spring Class of the Full-time Training in Anaheim. There are 85 graduating trainees. The meeting starts at 9:30 am at the Ministry Conference Center and includes a recognition of the Boston Extension (FTTA-XB) trainees; it can also be watched online at ftta.org/graduation.php.
In the afternoon, the Middle-age Training (FTTA-MA) graduation starts at 2:00 pm, also at the MCC. There are 31 graduating middle-age trainees. The meeting can also be watched online at ftta.org/MA.
Please pray:
- That the graduates continue to pursue, gain, live, and minister Christ for the building up of the Body.
- That the Lord be magnified and glorified through their presentations, so that all who attend in person or watch online may be drawn afresh to love our Lord Jesus and run after Him.
- For many more saints to receive the Lord’s calling to attend the training in upcoming terms; for the FTTA-MA in particular, for more English-speaking saints to enroll.
LA Family Bible Camp and Truth School Follow-up
Thank you, saints, for your prayers! Over the past four days, the atmosphere at our LA Family Bible Camp and Truth School was full of blending and the enjoyment of the Lord. This year the topic for the families was “Made Known” (Psalm 48:3); for the young people it was “The Two Spirits” (John 3:6, 4:24; Rom. 8:16).
We started on Saturday evening with a kickoff at Hall 2 attended by 135 children, parents, young people and serving ones. We then went up the mountain to Oak Glen on Lord’s Day and over the next few days we enjoyed many messages, joint meals and joint activities. The saints testified how wonderful it is was for families with children, of all ages to be together, to eat and lodge together.
Please pray:
- For the Lord to bless all the children, young people, and families in their going on with Him as they return home to Los Angeles.
- That our children continue to be impressed that God has made Himself known in creation, in the Bible, and in Jesus, and respond by opening their eyes, opening their Bibles, and opening their mouths to talk to Him.
- That our young people exercise their spirits regularly to touch the all-inclusive Spirit.
2026 FIFA World Cup Gospel Outreach
From June 11 to July 19, saints from Los Angeles and nearby localities are going out into the communities to distribute Bibles and tracts at various World Cup-related gatherings. Around a third of these saints are participating in such distributions for the first time; even some young people (accompanied by their parents) have joined and had a positive experience.
Our focus has not just been handing out Bibles, but having quality conversations with people in which we can feed them by reading at least one footnote to them. Many people have indicated a desire for further contact with us; we are doing our best to connect with them right away for fellowship. May the Lord anoint the follow-up and gain many of these ones for His purpose!
Please continue to pray:
- For the Lord’s word to run and be glorified (2 Thes. 3:1) and to grow mightily and prevail (Acts 19:20).
- For the participating saints to be all filled with the Holy Spirit to speak the word of God with boldness (Acts 4:31) to all kinds of people.
- For more grace-filled conversations (Col. 4:6) and remaining fruit (John 15:16).
West Africa
Please pray for the West African Blending Conference taking place this weekend in Benin. Nearly 70 saints will travel by bus from Nigeria. Only a handful of them have travel documents, so pray that they get across the border safely without being subjected to unwarranted financial demands.
