In Christ God has been constituted into man, man has been constituted into God, and God and man have been mingled together to be one entity, which is called the God-man. The God-men, the sons of God, are the duplication and continuation of Christ, the first God-man. As the reproduction and duplication of the first God-man, we should live the same kind of life that He lived.

The Lord’s God-man living set up a model for our God-man living—being crucified to live God so that God might be expressed in humanity. The Lord Jesus did not live a life of trying to be spiritual, holy, and victorious. He lived a life that was fully according to and for God’s New Testament economy. We must deny ourselves, be conformed to Christ’s death, and magnify Him by the bountiful supply of His Spirit. The One who lived the life of a God-man is now the Spirit living in us and through us. We must reject self-cultivation and the building up of our natural man and allow nothing other than this One to fill us and occupy us so that we may live Him and express Him personally and corporately in the church, which is His Body. For many years, Hall 5 of the Church in LA has experienced space constraints; at the same time, the saints have been looking for ways to reach people in the community beyond the campus. Therefore, Hall 5 is taking the step of multiplying into two district meetings—one focused more on outreach to the campuses, especially UCLA, and another focused more on outreach to the broader community. In May 2026, these two districts began meeting separately for prophesying.

Meanwhile, there has been a growing burden for the spread of the Lord’s testimony in neighboring Culver City. This independent incorporated city, mostly surrounded by LA neighborhoods, has a highly concentrated demographic of both young professionals and families with young children. Around 30 saints who meet in LA actually live in Culver City; most of them meet with Hall 5, others with Halls 3 and 4. Since March 2025, they began having regular prayer meetings in Culver City, initially monthly then increasing to twice a month, alternating between the homes of two families.

After much prayer and fellowship, the leading brothers in the church have sensed the Lord’s leading to combine these two burdens. In August 2026, the prayer meetings in Culver City became weekly and welcomed other Hall 5 saints who intend to meet in the new community-focused district. Starting this fall, the plan is for this community district to begin meeting physically in Culver City as a district of Hall 5.

Please pray:‍

• For the spreading and establishing of the Lord’s testimony in Culver City.
• For the identification and release of an adequate meeting place in Culver City.
  
• That the saints be strengthened into their inner man to stand firm in one spirit, with one soul, striving together for the furtherance of the gospel—both on college campuses and in the wider community.
  
• For the perfecting of the saints unto the work of the ministry, unto the building up of the Body of Christ.
  

Two weeks of the Cal State Northridge fall semester have passed. In the first week we distributed 4,000 Christian Students club invitations in gospel tracts. Since then we have distributed 2,000 more tracts and 126 Recovery Version NTs with Basic Elements, vol. 1.

Please pray:

• For the Lord to bring us open and seeking students through Club Rush and welcome day and connect them with us.
• For the core students serving at our tables during these events to be strengthened in their coordination and to enjoy the Lord’s abundant grace in their service.
  
• For the welcome group meeting to be filled with an atmosphere of love and rich supply, so that the new ones may be warmly welcomed, cared for, and supplied.
  

This weekend, students will move into the brothers' and sisters' houses in Westwood. We will then use next week to spend time with one another for a renewed beginning.

Meanwhile, this week we are concluding a Bible reading challenge in Philippians with a good number of UCLA freshmen, most of whom are brand new.

Please pray:

• For the Spirit to flow among those in corporate living and blend them together in preparation for the new academic year.
  
• That the Lord stir up a genuine hunger for God’s word in many students as they read, especially the new freshmen.
• That these students continue to encourage one another by participating in group chats with sweet fellowship about what they are reading.

The new term of the middle-age Full-time Training in Anaheim begins this week on September 7. May the Lord honor the desire of these saints to redeem the time and strengthen their tripartite beings to seize this opportunity to be trained.

Please pray:

• For the Lord’s blessing on this new term, a spirit of fresh consecration, and a renewed sense of the Lord’s imminent return.
• For the deepening of the sweet flow of life as the saints come together to be perfected in an atmosphere of blending to usher in the reality of the Body of Christ for the one new man.

From September 10–12 there will be a training for leading and responsible brothers in West Africa, including brothers from Benin, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Togo. A mini conference will immediately follow the brothers’ training on Saturday evening and Lord’s Day morning.

From September 12–13 there will be the Southern Africa Blending Conference for the saints and churches in Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. This conference will take place in Brits, South Africa, near Pretoria.

Please pray:

• That the saints be released inwardly and outwardly to attend these gatherings.
• That the atmosphere be uplifted and refreshed with the Lord’s presence and timely speaking.
• For the release of the Lord’s word, the shining of His light, and His perfecting of all the brothers to bear His testimony in a prevailing way throughout the subregion of West Africa.
