Prayer & Announcements
“I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse; therefore choose life that you and your seed may live.” (Deut. 30:19b)
“Jesus said to him, I am the way and the reality and the life.” (John 14:6a)
The most important item in the garden is the trees. In the Scriptures the concept concerning the tree is crucial. When the Scripture mentions man, both in the beginning and at the end, it also mentions the tree. Whether man will have life or will die, will live eternally or will perish, all depends on how man deals with the tree. The concept of the tree is absolutely vital to man’s destiny.
The tree of life is the center of the universe. According to the purpose of God, the earth is the center of the universe, the garden of Eden is the center of the earth, and the tree of life is the center of the garden of Eden. We must realize that the whole universe is centered on this tree of life: nothing is more central and crucial to both God and man than this tree. It is very meaningful to see man in the garden standing before the tree of life…This tree enables man to receive God as life…God in the Son is the tree of life, which is good for food. Day after day we can feed on Him. We can eat Him. (Life-study of Genesis, pp. 139-141).
From June 11 to July 19, saints went out into the communities of Los Angeles and distributed a total of 1,825 Bibles (1,412 English, 236 Spanish, 177 Korean), 275 Spanish Gospels of John, and 2,654 tracts, resulting in 141 contact requests. Praise the Lord!
Please pray:
- That each recipient be inspired and reminded to open their New Testament daily and be granted a spirit of wisdom and revelation concerning His divine economy.
- That there may be diligent follow-up with those interested in further fellowship.
- That the Lord may instill in all the saints a heart for the people in our city, and may develop in them a gospel living that is “ready in season and out of season” (2 Tim. 4:2).
The first phase of this summer’s perfecting training on “Building the House of God” for Chinese-speaking saints took place last week in New York. The training continues this week from July 29 to August 2 in Fremont, California.
Please pray:
- That the saints be poor in spirit and have healthy spiritual appetites.
- That they aspire to be perfected and be open vessels to receive everything the Lord is pouring out in this training.
- That the Lord use this perfecting training to advance His move among the Chinese-speaking saints in North America for the building of the house of God.

Please pray:
- That all the young people love the Lord with a pure heart and be brought to the mountain of God to receive revelation, not only of the law, but of God and what kind of God He is.
- That both young people and children meet potential spiritual companions and broaden their sense of the geographic scope of the Body.
- That many families be enlivened and inspired to live a family life according to God’s economy for His eternal purpose, so that God’s economy may be realized in their family life.
- That the Lord shepherd and strengthen all the serving ones to serve by grace.
- That the enemy be bound and all the saints be preserved in travel and health.
