“Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us unto a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, unto an inheritance, incorruptible and undefiled and unfading, kept in the heavens for you.” —1 Pet. 1:3-4
Once a person has been born on earth, he has the right to enjoy an earthly inheritance. In the same principle, once a person has been born again by God with His Spirit, that one is born unto a living hope, and this living hope is the inheritance (v. 4) of all the spiritual and heavenly blessings related to eternal life. Daily we need to take possession of this inheritance and enjoy it.
Through regeneration in the resurrection of Christ we have become heirs to inherit the Triune God as our inheritance with the Holy Spirit as the pledge. The “Holy Spirit of the promise” is the “pledge of our inheritance, unto the redemption of the acquired possession” (Eph. 1:13b-14). God is our inheritance. We shall inherit all that God is and has…The Greek word for pledge in verse 14 also means foretaste, guarantee, a partial payment in advance. God gives His Holy Spirit to us not only as a guarantee of our inheritance, securing our heritage, but also as a foretaste of what we shall inherit of God.
After being saved, we are children of God, sons of God, partakers of the divine nature, and heirs of God. As heirs of God, we enjoy Him as our inheritance, and we become His inheritance for His enjoyment. Therefore, our enjoyment of the divine inheritance consummates in our being made God’s inheritance. We enjoy God. Then our enjoyment of Him makes us His enjoyment. (The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 1085-1086, 1094)
This weekend, Oct. 23-25, young people from across Southern California will gather for the 2026 Fall High School Conferences. The general subject is “The Life and Work that Changed the Age.” The brothers will be in Cerritos and the sisters in Irvine. Fifteen high schoolers from Los Angeles are registered.
Please pray:
- That each young person attend the conference with a clear conscience and hungry spirit, and that any situations related to schoolwork or personal relationships be covered to give them a clear sky to receive the Lord’s speaking.
- That the young people see that their life and work for the Lord are interconnected and inseparable (Hymns, #910).
- That all the young people from Los Angeles make connections and companions with at least one new brother or sister this weekend.
Dear saints, thank you for your prayers for the Southern California Praise & Ministry Meeting. Last Saturday, October 17, about 350 saints gathered at UC Riverside, including about 50 from LA, to blend together and enjoy the ministry of the Word. Praise the Lord for His speaking and the opportunity for the students to blend together!
The students enjoyed hearing about three aspects of who we are as believers and how they can represent the Lord on their campuses. As the salt of the earth, we preserve the earth from corruption (Matt. 5:13); as the light of the world, we shine before men to glorify our Father (vv. 14-16); and as fishers of men, we follow the Lord to bring people into the kingdom (4:19-20). This fellowship was a foretaste of the upcoming Fall College Conference topic, “We Are Believers!”
This weekend, around twenty Chinese-speaking saints from Riverside will visit LA Hall 3. There will be a blending meeting on Saturday evening and the Lord’s Day meeting the following day.
Please pray:
- That as many saints as possible be released to attend the blending meeting, that all the saints may share Christ with one another and be mutually encouraged in the church life.
- That many homes be open to provide hospitality to provide the Lord a way to bless all the saints and build up His Body.
This weekend, October 23-25, the annual international blending conference for Europe will take place in Baarlo, the Netherlands.
Please pray:
- That the Lord uplift His testimony in Europe through His speaking in this conference.
- That the blending of all the saint sissue in more reality of the Body of Christ in Europe.

Offerings may be given in several ways. All offerings without designation will go to the General Fund. You may specify all or part of your offering towards a particular area of need. See a list of current offering designations here.
For the donation to be tax-deductible, do not designate for individuals; if any name is mentioned in the memo, your offering will be returned.

- At the bottom right corner, tap on “Resources” to find “Giving”.
- Fill out the requested information to indicate the amount, designation (fund), payment source, and frequency.
