Knowing the Triune God by Experiencing and Enjoying Him
“And as for you, the anointing which you have received from Him abides in you, and you have no need that anyone teach you; but as His anointing teaches you concerning all things and is true and is not a lie, and even as it has taught you, abide in Him.” (1 John 2:27)
“That Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith…” (Eph. 3:17a)
The Triune God is not merely the object of our faith. He is dwelling in us as our life and life supply for our experience and enjoyment. We need to know the Triune God experientially through the inner enjoyment of the subjective God. If we would know the Triune God, we must be in the line of life and in the process of the growth in life. The more we grow in life, the more we will be concerned with the Divine Trinity.
When the Triune God becomes our experience and enjoyment, He is not only the One on the throne who is universally vast, but He is also the One in our heart. The concern of the New Testament is that we know the Triune God who has come to dwell in our being—the One who dwells in our spirit and desires to spread into all the inward parts of our heart. The New Testament way for us to know the Triune God is personal, detailed, and experiential. How precious is this experiential way of knowing the Triune God! Semiannual Training Live Registrations
The goal of Brother Lee’s burden to hold semiannual trainings was to release the riches of Christ for the producing and the building up of the church as the testimony of Jesus and the reality of the Body of Christ. In speaking concerning the need to educate the saints in the divine truth through trainings, including the semiannual trainings, Brother Lee stated that the issue of these trainings, through which the saints would be “filled with the knowledge of the truth,” would be “the living testimony of Jesus” (Elders’ Training—Book 3, p. 139). This is because “the nature of the testimony of Jesus…must be a constitution of the proper truth that produces a daily living” (p. 144).
In accordance with this thought, Brother Lee said, “If the saints are not properly constituted with the truth, they cannot live a proper life. If they only live by inspiration and not by the constitution of the truth, I do not trust in that kind of living to be a testimony of the Lord” (p. 144). It is only by having the divine truth in the Word thoroughly wrought into us that we can live and magnify Christ in our daily life, preach the gospel to the unbelievers, and present the truth and minister life to the seeking believers, thereby becoming the prevailing testimony of Jesus, the living Body of Christ. (See the June 2022 issue of “Having This Ministry…”)
The upcoming December Semiannual Training will be held December 22 to 27 in Anaheim and by webcast in Los Angeles and around the world. This Friday, October 31 is the firm deadline for saints in LA and Santa Clarita to register for live, in-person attendance in Anaheim ($205); December 7 is the deadline to sign up for the video training ($130). SoCal High School Conference Follow-up
This past weekend, 27 of our high schoolers and 12 serving ones from across Los Angeles attended a conference on “The Humanity of Jesus” with the sisters in Cerritos and the brothers in Irvine. Through the four messages they received a vision of the only kind of humanity that can fulfill God’s purpose, saw their need to eat and masticate the proper humanity of Jesus as the meal offering and stand as acacia boards overlaid with gold signifying the uplifted humanity of Jesus, and realized that the shining out of the proper humanity of Jesus in their daily living is the remedy and healing power to this present age.
Please pray that our high schoolers would be sober-minded in the digestion of these messages, that their minds would be guarded against the attacks of the enemy by eating Jesus and taking in the humanity of Jesus to exercise dominion on their campuses.
LA College Students Fellowship
This Friday, October 31, we will have an evening meeting at UCLA for all the college students in LA. Please pray:
- For many newer students to come and taste the sweet fellowship and blending across our different halls and campuses.
- For the students to sing with grace in their hearts to God.
- For the Lord to touch the students concerning their having a renewed and loving heart so that life can flow forth in them.
France – Nanterre
Nanterre is a suburb to the west of Paris. The city of Nanterre includes Paris Nanterre University, one of the largest and most prestigious universities in France. For many years, the saints who live in this area have been meeting as a district of the church in Paris, but by the Lord’s abundant mercy and grace, the time has come for them to start meeting as the church in Nanterre.
The first Lord’s table meeting of the church in Nanterre will be held this Lord’s Day, November 2 with a mini-conference on Saturday. The saints are grateful for the prayers and participation in the Body for the Lord’s move there, especially in the past year. May the Lord richly bless this new beginning, and may He continue to raise up shining lampstands throughout France.
UK Building Project
The current status of the new FTTL training facility is at the early stage of construction. Some old structures have been torn down to make space for the new building. The current 48 trainees are crowded into the existing facility; sisters and couples live there but trainee brothers live in houses, some at a distance away.
The completed project will have residential capacity and dining facilities for at least 200 trainees and a meeting room with a capacity of more than 900 which can be divided into three sections. This facility is needed for constituting many young Europeans for the development and future of the Lord’s recovery in Europe (an area with twice the population of North America).
With the current financial giving and the current small number of saints working on it (plus some actions needing hired contractors), the building project might take a long as ten years to complete. However, according to a brother with experience in building multiple large meeting places, the project could be completed in just two years if there is a sufficient rate of funding and number of workers.
Please beseech the Lord for the release of funds and workers, including from LA. Pray for the workers to be supplied and safe as they labor and for the weather to be suitable so the building work may proceed. To give through the Church in Los Angeles for the new training center, designate offerings for “UK Building Project.”
