The Church in Los Angeles
“I am the vine; you are the branches. He who abides in Me and I in him, he bears much fruit; for apart from Me you can do nothing.” (John 15:5)
Since Christ is the vine and we are branches in the vine, we need to abide in Him; as we abide in Him, we will live, grow, and produce Christ. If we abide properly in the vine, then the life of the vine will fill us up; the life that has filled us up will overflow into others; this is fruit-bearing, and this is the genuine and proper preaching of the gospel. (2025 South OC Labor Day Conference, msg. 2, IV; msg. 3, II.C.3)
In our service in the church, the main thing we should do is bear fruit. We are here simply for fruit-bearing; that is, we are here for the release of life, the outflow of the inner life, and the impartation of life into others. This is the purpose of the church’s existence on the earth. (CWWL, 1966, vol. 1, p. 263)
Let us pray for the saints in the church in Los Angeles to live a normal life of fruit-bearing by abiding in the Lord moment by moment, paying careful attention to those among whom He has placed us, asking in prayer on their behalf, and staying in a condition of love and not rivalry. May His joy be in us, and our joy be made full!
Being Constituted with Christ for a Life of Mutual Shepherding
“I am the good Shepherd; the good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep.” (John 10:11)
“He said to him again a second time, Simon, son of John, do you love Me? He said to Him, Yes, Lord, You know that I love You. He said to him, Shepherd My sheep.” (John 21:16)
In the Lord’s recovery today there is an urgent need of shepherding. The shepherding that builds up the Body of Christ is a mutual shepherding. All believers, regardless of their stage of spiritual growth, need shepherding; we all have defects and shortcomings and need others to shepherd us. We need to be under the organic shepherding of Christ and to be one with Him to shepherd others. We are both sheep and shepherds, shepherding and being shepherded in mutuality; through this shepherding, the church is built up into the Body of Christ.
The more we are constituted with Christ, the more we will spontaneously live a shepherding life and have the burden to take care of others. The constitution of Christ in our spiritual life has a shepherding aspect. Shepherding is not a matter of responding to being encouraged by others to shepherd. Shepherding is the issue of being constituted with Christ. The part of our being that has been constituted with Christ is the part that shepherds others. We cannot shepherd anyone; the Christ constituted into us is the Shepherd. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (3), msg. 10, III, D.1-3, E.1-5)

Let us prepare ourselves for this upcoming time of ministry and sanctify these days for the hearing of faith among us. Please pray for the release of the Lord’s up-to-date speaking to His Body during this conference and for the saints to be fully open to receive and respond to the Lord’s burden. Also pray that the saints not attending in-person would make use of the online provision to get into the messages, that as many saints as possible may receive this word.
Our Young People
This past Lord’s Day, following the LA Joint Meeting, our young people, parents and serving ones enjoyed a time fellowship together over lunch. Our YP were encouraged to see that the gospel work is not just something for “the older ones.” Rather, the YP themselves are in the best position to share the gospel and love of Christ with “all the nations” (Matt. 28:19) in their daily life at school and in the community.
After hearing about sharing the gospel, the YP had a chance to practice using a gospel tract as if contacting friends. They also wrote down some names of acquaintances they wished would be saved, then prayed over these names in groups.
Please pray that our young people would pick up this burden for the gospel, not as an outward activity, but as their genuine living. Also pray that the Lord would open the way for our YP to share the gospel with those whom the Lord has placed on their hearts.
FTTA
The application deadline for the Spring 2026 term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim is this Lord’s Day, November 30. Please pray for many college graduates and young working saints to answer God’s call to go to the training next term.
FTTL
This term, health issues seem to have impacted the overall morale and exercise in the Full-time Training in London. Please pray:
- For the Lord to preserve the trainees’ health, that they can receive the maximum benefit in the FTTL, and to strengthen their tripartite being with His resurrection life so they finish the term in victory.
- To bind the enemy and any discouragement.
- That the Lord would use this situation to gain what He is after in all the trainees for His eternal economy.
Germany – Stuttgart Meeting Hall
In 2023 the church in Stuttgart purchased a building near public transportation and a university, next to a large public park. Then it took more than two years to obtain the change of use and renovation permits. The architect has prepared the renovation plans and is working on detailed structural computations. Renovation is set to begin in December but have only €1 million (about $1.15 million) of the €3 million needed.
Please pray together with us that the funds needed to complete this project can be released for the Lord’s move in this region of Germany. Donations designated for ‘Stuttgart Meeting Hall’ can be made through the Church in Los Angeles or lordsmove.org.
Ukraine and Russia
A reminder from the footnote on 1 Kings 8:48: “No matter for whom we are praying, our prayers should be aimed at the interests of God, i.e., at Christ and the church as God’s interests on earth, for the fulfilling of God’s economy.”
Please pray that the Lord will protect the tripartite being of all the saints and will bring an end to the present conflict so that His move in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe will advance.
