Having a Vision of the Supreme Preciousness of Christ
“Coming to Him, a living stone, rejected by men but with God chosen and precious.” (1 Pet. 2:4)
“Therefore thus says Jehovah,…If you bring out the precious from the worthless, you will be as My mouth…” (Jer. 15:19)
The believers in Christ should have a change in their concept of value. The proper concept of value for the believers can be seen in their estimation and assessment of the following aspects of Christ and His full salvation: their valuation of the Lord Jesus as the chief cornerstone for the building up of the church; their valuation of the Lord Jesus in comparison to their relatives; the valuation of Christ as the treasure of justice in comparison to earthly treasure; and their valuation of the knowledge of Christ in comparison to all things.
We need a vision to see that the New Jerusalem is the Triune God, the Divine Trinity, as three basic factors wrought into and structured together with His redeemed as a miraculous structure of treasure to be the conclusion of the whole Bible—the gold as the base of the city typifies God the Father; the pearls as the gates of the city typify God the Son; and the jasper wall of the city typifies God the Spirit.
We need to ask the Lord to grant us the light to have a thorough change in our concept of value so that we will continually choose Christ and all that He is as our super-excelling portion. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (3), msg. 9, I, A, 1-5, B)
Church in Los Angeles
Jesus is getting us together! Come and see the saints in one accord! This Lord’s Day, November 23, starting at 10:00 am at UCLA, we will have our joint meeting for all halls, districts, and languages of the church in Los Angeles. For our young people and young working saints, respectively, there will be a special time of blending and fellowship after the meeting.
May this gathering be our corporate looking away unto Jesus so that He ministers heaven, life, and strength to us, transfusing and infusing us with all that He is, that we may be able to run the heavenly race and live the heavenly life in Los Angeles. Please pray:
- For the Lord to gather as many saints as possible, including newer ones, younger ones, and ones that have not joined us in a while, to drink the Spirit together as His one Body.
- For the Lord to impart His current burden to the church related to branches abiding in the Lord as the vine to bear fruit for the Father’s glory.
- For the sweet coordination and fellowship among all those carrying out practical services for an uplifted atmosphere filled with the presence of the Lord.
SoCal Christian Students Fall Retreat Follow-up
Thank you, saints, for your prayers for the college conference this past weekend. Despite the heavy rain, the Lord blessed the time and kept us all safe. Eighty-one students from LA attended (an excellent turnout!), including 27 newer ones who came to their first-ever college retreat at Oak Glen. Furthermore, 4 students from LA were baptized, and one was gloriously saved. Praise the Lord! We truly saw the wonderful Jesus as revealed in the Gospel of John. Please pray:
- For the students to continue feeding on the Lord in His word, eating Him as the bread of life.
- For the students to abide in the vine to bear fruit, enjoying the Lord’s shepherding to shepherd others.
- For the newly saved and baptized ones to be kept from the evil one and to walk in newness of life.
2025 International Thanksgiving Blending Conference
The upcoming Thanksgiving Conference will be held in Indianapolis, Indiana from November 27 to 30. The general subject is “The All-inclusive Christ as Revealed in Matthew.” Both the live and archived messages, as well as the outlines, will be available for free at lsmwebcast.com. Please pray:
- For all the saints traveling, for the speaking brothers and their families, and for all the practical preparations and services.
- For as many saints as possible to participate through webcast, whether individually or with others.
- That the Lord’s speaking would be received by all the saints, and that the saints would come to know and experience the all-inclusive Christ in a deeper way.
Sweden
The saints in Stockholm have been regularly distributing Bibles at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), the largest technical university in Sweden. This year, since August, the response has been very positive, much more so than in the past; every time the saints go out, they distribute around 15 to 25 Bibles.
Two weeks ago, one of the key community sisters on the gospel team experienced a health setback. Then, last Friday, November 14, a double-decker bus for an unknown reason crashed into a bus stop on the street, killing and injuring several bystanders. This tragedy occurred in the area where the saints usually distribute, on a busy street next to the campus which is frequented daily by most students. Many people have been shaken by this incident, which is highly unusual in Stockholm. Please pray:
- For the Lord’s covering and strengthening of all the saints as they faithfully sow seeds for the spread of His testimony in Stockholm.
- For more opening and turning to God among this generation of university students.
- For some form of campus Bible study to be established at KTH.
United Kingdom – London Seminar
This Lord’s Day, November 23, the saints in London will have a whole church meeting in Central London, followed by an afternoon seminar hosted by Amana Trust on “The Divine Romance and the Preparation of the Bride of Christ.” The saints are encouraged to invite their relatives, friends, and neighbors to this seminar to discover how they can experience the great love of God in Christ and become part of His glorious, overcoming Bride.
Please pray for the Lord to release the listeners of the radio program and the readers of literature from Rhema and Bibles for Europe. Also pray for the saints to invite gospel contacts and dormant ones.
Azerbaijan
Azerbaijan is a predominantly Muslim country at the crossroads of Eastern Europe and Central Asia. Some saints meet regularly in the capital city, Baku, serving and coordinating in one accord, and taking every opportunity to shepherd gospel contacts. Despite many outward restrictions, the saints continue to look to the Lord for His blessing and to establish His testimony in Azerbaijan. Please pray:
- That the ten people saved since last November 2024 may be shepherded, strengthened, and brought into the church life to become remaining fruits.
- For the Lord to open the way for the saints to gain solidly at least two new key families to bear the Lord’s testimony.
- That the Lord would bind the strong man and release the visas and residence permits for the overseas saints, so they may cooperate with the Lord’s move in this land.
