The Great Mystery—the Meaning of Human Life

“The mystery which has been hidden from the ages and from the generations but now has been manifested to His saints.” (Col. 1:26)

“This mystery is great, but I speak with regard to Christ and the church.” (Eph. 5:32)

The mystery of the church is the ultimate mystery in the universe. The mystery of the universe is God, the mystery of God is Christ, and the mystery of Christ is the church.

The great mystery—Christ and the church—is the meaning of the universe and of human life. God’s intention in His creation of all things, including man, was that man would be mingled with God to produce the church. The desire of God’s heart is to have the mystery of Christ—the Body of Christ as the increase and expression of Christ. The mystery of Christ and the mystery of the church should be our daily life; without this mystery, our life would be merely the life of a human being, not the life of a Christian. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (2), msg. 9, IV, A.1, B, 1-2, 5)

You may attain to some level of satisfaction through a certain amount of spiritual seeking and exercise; but after you achieve this satisfaction, you will still feel that you are short of something. You will never be fully satisfied until the Lord brings you to this ultimate point and you realize that you are a member of the Body of Christ…When you reach this point, you will realize the genuine church life. Then you will be satisfied in an ultimate way. (CWWL, 1961–1962, vol. 4, “The Mystery of God and the Mystery of Christ,” pp. 181-182)

Let us pray for the mystery of Christ and the mystery of the church to become our daily life in a practical way for the mutual satisfaction of God and man.

Lord Jesus, We Love You!

Whatever we love, our whole heart, even our entire being, is set on and occupied and possessed by. “To love God means to set our entire being—spirit, soul, and body, with the heart, soul, mind, and strength (Mark 12:30)—absolutely on Him, that is, to let our entire being be occupied by Him and lost in Him” (footnote 3 on 1 Cor. 2:9).

To love the Lord Jesus is to appreciate Him, to direct our being to Him, to open to Him, to enjoy Him, to give Him the first place, to be one with Him, to live Him, and to become Him. (2025 Memorial Day Conference, msg. 1, I.D, 1-2)

Church in Los Angeles Joint Meeting

The whole church in Los Angeles—all halls, districts, and languages—will meet together at 10:00 am this Lord’s Day, June 8 at the LA Convention Center. There will be translation via FM radio into Chinese, Korean, and Spanish. Saints are encouraged to arrive early and be filled in spirit and ready to flow out!

Please pray for a healthy attendance and blending, and for the timely speaking of the Lord to shepherd all the saints in the church to be brought on to maturity for the sake of His testimony in Los Angeles and for the building up of the reality of the Body of Christ, the preparation of the bride of Christ, and the manifestation of the kingdom of Christ.

France – Migration

The Lord continues to bless His present move in France and Francophone Europe. In order for the Lord to gain what He is after, there is a great need for migration. There is a need for full-timers, families, and even older saints to be thrust out to strengthen the key cities. Opportunities exist for different categories of people—for example, those with remote jobs, those who would like to study, and those who are retired with pensions—to migrate and participate in the Lord’s move.

Please pray that the Lord would call many students, families, and mature saints to migrate to France within the next several years and live the church life in one of the key cities. Also pray that the Lord would continue to release long-stay visas for those who who need it.

Germany – Pentecost Conference

This year’s Pfingstkonferenz (Pentecost Conference) for the German-speaking churches will take place June 7 to 9. (Pentecost Monday, June 9, is a holiday in Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and some other nations.) Please pray:

  • For the Lord to advance in these countries through His speaking.
  • For all saints to be open to receive the Lord’s living word during and after the conference.
  • For all attendees to actively minister Christ to one another.
  • For the cherishing and nourishing of first-time conference attendees.

Germany – Translation Work

To meet an urgent need, there will be a time of fellowship about the German translation work and ministry service during this weekend’s Pentecost Conference. This time is open to all German-speaking brothers and sisters who have a burden and would like to participate in written or spoken translation, editing, proofreading, and technical tasks.

Please ask the Lord to call all who are needed to participate in this time.

Russia and Ukraine

Pray for the Lord to protect the tripartite being of all the saints and bring an end to the present conflict so that His move in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe would advance. Also pray that He would continue to bless the saints and the churches in the Russian-speaking world, and that there would be a good situation for the spreading of the truth and the building up of the churches.
