Pursue to Gain Christ, Be Found in Him, Know Him, Live Him

“I also count all things to be loss on account of the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord…that I may gain Christ and be found in Him, not having my own righteousness which is out of the law, but that which is through faith in Christ, the righteousness which is out of God and based on faith, to know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death.” (Phil. 3:8-10)

To gain Christ is to experience, enjoy, and take possession of all His unsearchable riches by paying a price. Deep within Paul was the aspiration to have his whole being immersed in and saturated with Christ so that all who observed him might find him fully in Christ; we also should have the earnest desire to be found in Christ. We need to know Christ by experiencing Him, enjoying Him, being one with Him, and having Him live within us; in this way we know Him by both revelation and experience. The Experience of Christ, msg. 6, II.A.3, I.A, II.A.4.

Lord give us this same earnest desire so that we pursue gaining You, being found in You, experiencing and enjoying You, and living one with You.

YP Blending Meeting

There will be a Southern California young people’s blending meeting in Arcadia this Saturday, September 14, 7 to 9 pm. Lord, gain this generation for Your move to bring You back!

Santa Clarita

In the church in Santa Clarita we have saints of all ages and a good number of families. We are burdened to strengthen the families in this city as the basic unit of God’s salvation. We realize the enemy’s strategy is to destroy them. It is with this burden that the church in Santa Clarita will go to Oak Glen the weekend of September 13 to 15. We will get into the book “Raising up the Next Generation.”

Please pray that the hearts of all will be comforted and cherished and that the Lord will freshly enliven the saints and burden them for their family members. There are a total of 53 going, including 6 children and 20 young people and college age saints.

Parents and YP Serving Ones’ Fellowship

The next special fellowship for Southern California parents and young people’s serving ones will take place Saturday, October 5 from 9:00 am to 12:30 pm at the church in Anaheim district 3 meeting hall (2528 W La Palma Ave, Anaheim, CA 92801). Lunch will not be provided. A $5 donation is suggested upon arrival to cover the cost of materials and snack. Translation into Spanish, Korean, and Chinese will be provided. Please register before Lord’s Day, September 29 at http://tinyurl.com/2019pypsof.

May the Lord bless this time of fellowship!

FTTA-MA

The fall term of the Middle-age Training in Anaheim began last week. The goal of the training is to foster living, functioning, overcoming members of the Body of Christ for the fulfillment of God’s eternal purpose. Lord, thank you for the splendor of these saints’ consecration. Release them from every restraint, and grace them inwardly to give themselves to begin or to continue to be trained by You!

Phoenix, Arizona

Please pray for the Lord’s move in Phoenix, especially with the new campus team at the beginning of the college year at Arizona State University. Ask the Lord to bless the tabling events this second week of classes and to blend and coordinate all who are involved in caring for college students.

Germany

Invitations for a seminar at our blending center in Germany, Gut Elim, from September 13 to 15 have been emailed to over 600 readers touched by the sowing carried out by Rhema in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. Please pray for:

  • The new ones to respond to the reminder emails and phone calls the saints will be making.

  • The binding of anything that distracts the readers from coming.

  • The release of a rich word full of the anointing in the seminar.

  • A spirit of wisdom and revelation and the enlightening of the eyes of the new ones’ hearts.

  • The connecting of the new ones to the local saints for their shepherding in the Triune God.

  • The sweet coordination of the saints to produce remaining fruit from this seminar.

Azerbaijan

A couple from Germany begins their second year of serving here. Two couples and two brothers arrived from Asia in recent weeks to serve. May these six keep their vision and burden fresh daily, giving themselves to the Lord in every decision they have to make; may they keep the one accord; and may the German couple’s care for them be full of grace and reality.
