Rebuilding the Altar of Burnt Offering

"They built the altar of the God of Israel to offer burnt offerings upon it, as it is written in the law of Moses the man of God." (Ezra 3:2b)

"And He said to them all, If anyone wants to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me." (Luke 9:23)

"And He died for all that those who live may no longer live to themselves but to Him who died for them and has been raised." (2 Cor. 5:15)

The first thing to be recovered for the church life is the altar. We must put all that we have, all that we are, and all that we can do on the altar for God's satisfaction. This is the start of the church life. The altar of burnt offering typifies the cross of Christ. The cross is the center of God's operation in His economy. If we want to have a proper church life, we need to experience the cross. Through the cross we need to become nothing, to have nothing, and to be able to do nothing. Otherwise, what we are, what we have, and what we can do will become a substitute for Christ.

The burnt offering, which was wholly for God's satisfaction, typifies Christ as God's pleasure and satisfaction. The burnt offering typifies Christ not only in His living a life that is perfect and absolute for God but also in His being the life that enables God's people to have such a living. By laying our hands on Christ as the burnt offering, we are joined to Him. As Christ lives in us, He repeats in us the life He lived on the earth, the life of the burnt offering. (Crystallization-Study of 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther, msg. 3, I.A.1, b, B, 1.a, 2.b-c, II.A.1-2, C.2-3)

College Conference Follow-up

Thank you, saints, for joining us in prayer for the recent SoCal Spring College Conference. From Los Angeles, 73 college students participated as well as a good number of serving ones, bringing our total to about 100 saints from LA. Praise the Lord! Each meeting had a high atmosphere during the singing that gave way for the Lord to speak strongly. After each message many students testified of what they saw concerning the greatest prophecy in the Bible, that Christ will build His church!

Please join us to pray for the follow-up:

  • May the Lord continue to reveal His desire for the church and put a restless caring in all the students to give all for the building.
  • Grant each one according to this vision to have daily growth and transformation in life as well as a willingness to be perfected in their function for the building's sake.
  • Inspire the students to have a living for the building—that is, a living that preaches the gospel, shepherds others, and practices to prophesy for the building up of the Body of Christ in love.

Southern California Junior High Sisters Conferences

The Spring Junior High Sisters Conference will take place April 21 to 23 at Oak Glen. The topic is "The Spirit." Please pray for our young sisters to be open vessels under the divine dispensing this weekend. Pray that they would be encouraged by and blended with others from Southern California.

Francophone Conference

A conference for French-speaking saints will be held this weekend, April 21 to 23, in Paris. The conference, consisting of five messages along with the Lord's table, will take place in person with an online option. Please pray that all the French-speaking saints and churches would enter into the up-to-date ministry of the age and touch the up-to-date burden for the Lord's advance. For more conference information, visit www.egliseaparis.fr/2023-conference-francophone.

UK Building Project

Construction is set to begin this December for a new training facility of the Full-time Training in London at Bower House with a capacity of holding at least 400 trainees as well as conferences for 1,000 saints. The total cost is estimated at approximately $6 million (dollars). To give through the Church in LA for the new training center, please follow instructions at www.churchinlosangeles.org/members/offerings. Designate offerings for "UK Building Project."

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Lord will keep all the saints in the involved countries open to Him for their experience of the divine dispensing in all the situations of their daily living.
  • The Lord will meet all the practical needs of the saints.
  • The brothers who are fighting in the war will be preserved by the Lord in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.

Turkey

Please pray for Rhema readers who are in the earthquake area and were contacted and helped by the saints. May the saints' time be separated for them to maintain their relationship with these readers, bringing them into the fellowship of the Body so that they can be saved and released from religion to pursue the One who is eternal life.

Tajikistan

Pray for the friends who heard the gospel. May the Lord work in them and make them wise unto salvation to become members of the Body of Christ.

Praying for God's Will and for Our Spiritual Border to Be Enlarged

"Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth." (Matt. 6:10)

"And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, Oh that You would richly bless me and enlarge my border, and that Your hand would be with me, and that You would so keep me from evil that it would not grieve me! And God caused what he had requested to come to pass." (1 Chron. 4:10)

One main principle of God's work is the need for man's prayer. He wants man to cooperate with Him in prayer. As believers in Christ, we need to have prayers that express God's will and our desire to have our personal spiritual border to be enlarged.

In order to do something, God must first put His will within us through the Holy Spirit. He will only accomplish something after we have echoed it in our prayer. God operates through this procedure. He wants a will that is one with Him and that echoes Him. God wants man's will to be joined to Him. He does not want to act alone; He wants man to cooperate with Him. This is the responsibility of the church on earth.

If our prayer is only for the fulfillment of our plans and wishes, it will not have any value in the spiritual realm. Only prayers that are initiated by God and echo what He has initiated have any spiritual value; we must learn to pray this kind of prayer.

Jabez called on God to enlarge his border. The enlarging of the border of the good land in his prayer signifies the enlarging of the border of gaining Christ and the enjoyment of Christ, who is the reality of the good land. God caused what Jabez had requested to come to pass. I hope that all of us would have such a prayer, a prayer that God would enlarge the border of the enjoyment of the good land, that is, enlarge the border of our enjoyment of Christ. (CWWN, vol. 38, pp. 281-284; Crystallization-study of 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther, msg. 2, VI, A.2, B; Life-study of 1 & 2 Chronicles, p. 18)

Southern California College Conference

This weekend, April 14 to 16, college students and current high school seniors from around Southern California will gather in Cerritos for the Spring College Conference. The topic is "The Greatest Prophecy in the Bible." Please join us in prayer for:

  • More than 90 college students and high school seniors from Los Angeles to attend at least one meeting.
  • An atmosphere filled with the exercise of the spirit and hearts that are wide open to receive the word of the Lord.
  • A vision of Christ and the church to be imparted to each student, one that would guide them and that they would never forget.

North America College Training

The second deadline to register for this summer's North America College Training is this Saturday, April 15. So far, nearly 2,300 saints have registered. Please continue to fight the battle in prayer with us for:

  • More than 3,000 to register by this next deadline; pray for the Lord to open doors even in seemingly impossible situations due to conflicts with internships, family plans, classes, etc.
  • Especially the newer and younger ones to see the preciousness of this training and be willing to joyfully pay the price to give this week to the Lord and seek first His kingdom.

Bibles for America

Last month, BfA incorporated USPS tracking information into the customer service emails that people receive after they order a Bible. Recipients are now alerted when their Bible is shipped, out for delivery, and delivered, allowing them to track the shipment progress and making for a better overall experience.

We are continuing to make technical improvements to the order tracking process that will be implemented in both English and Spanish. Please pray that these improvements would be developed in a timely way, and that every Bible would successfully get to its intended recipient. Pray also that as the Lord's Word continues to go out, it would accomplish what He delights in, and would prosper in the matter to which He has sent it (Isaiah 55:10-11).

Poland

After the war between Russia and Ukraine started, between 4 and 5 million Ukrainian refugees moved to Poland. Because of such an overwhelming number of refugees, we decided to preach the gospel in Eastern Europe, mainly in Poland. In 2022 we had four gospel trips and three shepherding trips in Poland. A report on the current situation in Poland can be downloaded from https://lme.org/reports.html.

Please pray for:

  • The blending and building up of the Polish saints and the Ukrainian saints in Warsaw and Kraków.
  • The feeding and shepherding of the Ukrainian refugees gained through the gospel.
  • The 15 trainees in the Warsaw extension of the Full-time Training in Moscow.
  • The raising up of new lampstands in Wrocław, Łódź, and Poznań.

Pakistan

In November 2022, the annual National Conference in Pakistan was held for the first time since the pandemic. Approximately 240 saints from the churches in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore, Karachi, and Faisalabad (a newly-propagated city) attended the conference, along with some brothers and sisters from other Christian groups. The subject was "God's Grace in His Economy." In the Lord's table meeting, the brothers and sisters testified that we were one Body. Even saints from other Christian groups, including some pastors, attended the conference and appreciated the word of the ministry. After the conference, some gospel friends expressed their desire to continue to meet with us.

God's Move in Man's History to Carry Out His Economy

"Even as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world to be holy and without blemish before Him in love." (Eph. 1:4)

"The burden of the word of Jehovah concerning Israel. Thus declares Jehovah, who stretches forth the heavens and lays the foundations of the earth and forms the spirit of man within him." (Zech. 12:1)

The intrinsic significance of the twelve historical books in the Old Testament (Joshua, Judges, Ruth, 1 and 2 Samuel, 1 and 2 Kings,1 and 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther) is the revelation that God's move in man's history prepares the way for God to carry out His eternal economy by His becoming a man that man may become God in life and in nature (but not in the Godhead), for the producing and building up of the church as the organic Body of Christ to consummate the New Jerusalem for His ultimate expression.

The way to fulfill God's move in man's history for the carrying out of His eternal economy is by exercising our spirit to experience and enjoy Christ as the sevenfold intensified Spirit. The heavens are for the earth, the earth is for man, and man was created by God with a spirit that he may contact God, receive God, live God, fulfill God's purpose for God, and be one with God.

With God's move, as the divine history, in man's history, there is the new creation—the new man with a new heart, a new spirit, a new life, a new nature, a new history, and a new consummation. We praise the Lord that we are in the divine history, experiencing and enjoying the mysterious, divine things for our organic salvation, so that we may make ourselves ready to become His overcoming bride to bring Him back. (CS 1 & 2 Chronicles, Ezra, Nehemiah, and Esther, msg. 1, I, V, VI; LS Zechariah, pp. 67-68)

Southern California Junior High Brothers Conference

The Spring Junior High Brothers Conference will take place April 7 to 9 at Oak Glen. The general subject is "The Spirit." Please pray for our young brothers to be open vessels under the divine dispensing this weekend. Pray also that they would be encouraged by and blended with other young brothers from across Southern California.

European Brothers Training and Blending Conference

The Spring 2023 European Brothers Training will take place in London on April 5 to 7 to review the messages from the recent ITERO held in Anaheim. This training will be followed by the International Blending Conference in London for all the saints from April 8 to 9.

Please pray that the Lord's word released in these meetings will operate effectively in the responsible brothers and all the saints to bring forth the genuine church life and build up the Body in all of Europe.

Germany

Twenty-nine saints from FTTT (28 trainees, 1 TA) will be in Germany from April 4 to May 5. After gathering in Frankfurt for orientation, teams of saints will travel to various localities in Germany. Some teams will stay with one church for the entire month; others may visit another nearby city currently being shepherded by that church. Local saints will participate to the extent that they are available.

Every morning, the teams will spend time in the truth, then gospel preaching and shepherding of new believers. Their main locations will be universities, since these trips coincide with orientation week on the university campuses and the first week of lectures. The goal is not merely to distribute tracts and NTs, not merely to get people to receive the Lord, but also to have shepherding times and repeated appointments with new believers.

UK Building Project

The UK building project in London has moved its emphasis from Woodland Camp to the construction of a new training center for the Full-time Training in London at Bower House. Permission has already been obtained to construct a new facility capable of holding at least 400 full-time trainees as well as conferences for up to 1,000 saints. Initial preparations are being made to begin construction this December. The total cost for the training center is estimated to be approximately £5 million (pounds) or about $6 million (dollars). If funds are forthcoming construction can be completed within two years, which is when we expect to reach the capacity of the current facility.

To give through the Church in Los Angeles for the new training center, please follow instructions at http://www.churchinlosangeles.org/members/offerings. Designate offerings for "UK Building Project."

Madagascar

There are currently around 130 saints enjoying the church life in Antananarivo (commonly known as "Tana"), the capital of Madagascar. There are now regular meetings for the young people, appointments and Bible studies with university contacts, and visits by brothers to other cities for the shepherding, strengthening, and perfecting of the saints.

In 2021, land was purchased near the US Embassy; since then, additional connecting plots of land have been purchased. So far, construction of a small meeting hall, an office, and a brothers' house have been completed. We pray that the construction of a large meeting hall can begin in the near future.

Open Vessels for the Divine Dispensing

"But we have this treasure in earthen vessels that the excellency of the power may be of God and not out of us." (2 Cor. 4:7)

"That He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you, being rooted and grounded in love." (Eph. 3:16-17)

The summary of Paul's fourteen Epistles can be expressed in two words: open vessel. An open vessel is doing nothing but keeping itself open to be filled by the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity. We simply need to love the Lord and keep ourselves open to Him, giving Him every opportunity to do everything He wants to do. This is the proper and genuine Christian life.

We should pray, "Lord, by Your grace I would not have any part of my being closed to You; I choose to keep myself entirely and thoroughly open to You." This proper prayer, deeper prayer, genuine prayer, is to love the Lord and be open to Him. If we have this kind of prayer, we will be living, open vessels, and the Lord will have the way to fill us with Himself. When the Lord fills us, He does everything for us.

Our destiny is to live an ordinary life in the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity, for our Father has destined that we live in an ordinary way under His continual dispensing. (The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Divine Economy, msg. 6, I.B, 1.b, 2.b-c, I.C, a-c, II.D)

ITERO

The Spring 2023 International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones held in Anaheim this past weekend, March 24 to 26, was on "Knowing, Experiencing, and Living the All-inclusive Christ for the Genuine Church Life." Please pray that the Lord's word released in this training will operate effectively in the responsible brothers and the saints to bring forth the genuine church life all over the earth.

500 Life-studies App

We are happy to announce the launch of the 500 Life-studies app. It is designed to help believers to become constituted with the truth by using the Life-study of the Bible for their spiritual nourishment and growth. This app allows users to: 1) create custom reading schedules; 2) read directly in the app via a built-in reader or http://ministrybooks.org integration; and 3) track their progress toward different milestones.

The app is now available for free download on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. For additional resources and information, please visit http://500lifestudies.org.

Please pray that this digital tool will be useful in bringing in a new culture of reading the Life-studies among the churches.

LA Chinese-speaking Blending Retreat

This weekend, March 31 to April 2, the Chinese-speaking saints will have a retreat at Oak Glen. Please pray not only for everyone's health and safety, but also for all the saints, especially the new ones, to be open and blended together for their mutual encouragement and for the building up of the Body.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray for the saints in Russia and Ukraine to be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man, where Christ is all the members and in all the members, and for the preservation and shepherding of all the saints in their tripartite being.

A reminder from the footnote on 1 Kings 8:48: "No matter for whom we are praying, our prayers should be aimed at the interests of God, i.e., at Christ and the church as God's interests on earth, for the fulfilling of God's economy."

Cambodia

After the pandemic eased in May 2022, the saints were encouraged to resume their weekly gospel preaching. In the past, various methods were used to reach people—language teaching, outdoor activities, love feasts—but the saints felt that something was missing. Last year, they began using The Mystery of Human Life to speak directly to people and found some genuine seeking ones and open homes. Through persistent weekly visitations, other saints have also been recovered.

After meeting regularly with the new ones or the newly recovered saints on a weekly basis, we invited them to participate in daily morning revival. Every morning, we would spend 10 to 15 minutes on the phone, releasing our spirits to call on the Lord's name, pray-read the Lord's word, and receive light from the interpreted word. Many new ones testified that their desire for the Lord's word has deepened because of the practice of morning revival, and they spontaneously began to share and minister the Lord's word in the meetings. Through this the Lord began to work marvelously in many saints to overflow to their friends, relatives, and neighbors.

Experiencing and Enjoying the Divine Dispensing

"That He would grant you…to be strengthened with power through His Spirit into the inner man, that Christ may make His home in your hearts through faith, that you…with all the saints…may be filled unto all the fullness of God." (Eph. 3:16-19)

"Speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and psalming with your heart to the Lord, giving thanks at all times for all things in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ to our God and Father." (Eph. 5:19-20)

The entire revelation in Ephesians concerning the producing, existing, growing, building up, and fighting of the church as the Body of Christ is composed of the divine economy and the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity into the members of the Body of Christ; thus, the crucial focus of Ephesians is the divine dispensing of the Divine Trinity into the believers.

In chapter 3 the apostle prays that God the Father will grant the believers to be strengthened with power through God the Spirit into their inner man so that Christ, God the Son, may make His home in their hearts, that is, occupy their entire being, that they might be filled unto all the fullness of the Triune God; this is the climax of the believers' experience and participation in God in His Divine Trinity.

Chapter 5 exhorts the believers to praise the Lord, God the Son, with the songs of God the Spirit, and give thanks in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, God the Son, to God the Father. This is to praise and thank the processed God in His Divine Trinity for our enjoyment of Him as the Triune God. (The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Divine Economy, msg. 5, III, C, E, 1)

ITERO

The Spring 2023 International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones will be held in Anaheim this weekend, March 24 to 26. The general subject is "Knowing, Experiencing, and Living the All-inclusive Christ for the Genuine Church Life."

Please pray that the Lord will speak a timely word to His whole Body, especially the elders and responsible ones, for the advancement of His economy on the whole earth.

UCLA Blending Trips

Spring is upon us, and during the academic year this is a time where many college students take the opportunity to visit other localities, blend with the saints, and attend the FTTA short-term training.

Next week, two groups from UCLA will be participating in blending trips. Around 12 saints will travel to Nevada to visit the church in Las Vegas. Another group of nearly 25 saints will remain in LA to blend with a group of more than 30 saints visiting from Berkeley. Please pray that:

  • The Lord would sovereignly cover the health, traveling, and weather so that all the saints could enjoy the Lord to the uttermost and none would be hindered from fully participating;
  • All the students would get a taste of blending and experience the sweet Body life;
  • The saints providing hospitality would be supplied with the Lord as grace as they receive different saints in their homes during this time.

Bibles for America

In January and February of this year, saints and FTTA trainees participated in a number of gospel trips in cities throughout the US. Many gospel tracts, Bibles, and ministry books were given away on campuses and in communities in each city, and a good number of people were open to follow-up contact.

Please pray that all the Bible and book recipients would be enlightened and nourished by the interpreted Word of God. Pray also that the local saints would be strengthened to shepherd these contacts into the enjoyment of the riches of the ministry.

Ukraine

Please continue to pray for the saints in Russia and Ukraine to be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man, where Christ is all the members and in all the members, and for the preservation and shepherding of all the saints in their tripartite being.

The Law of the Spirit of Life in Romans 8

"Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from the body of this death? Thanks be to God, through Jesus Christ our Lord!…" (Rom. 7:24-25)

"There is now then no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life has freed me in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and of death." (Rom. 8:1-2)

The key to being an overcomer is the law of the Spirit of life in Romans 8, a chapter for desperate seekers. All those who are qualified for this chapter must be the ones who are desperate. After being saved, after seeking the Lord, and after being defeated along the seeking way, they are desperate...You must be a desperate one. This chapter does not try to stir you up because you do not have a heart toward the Lord...This chapter gives you a clear view of what you have within you. Because you are so seeking, because you are so desperate, you need such a view. You do not need a "way"; you need a view. You need to see what has been done with you, what has been installed into you. You need to see what you have already. You do not need just a kind of instruction, but you need a view to see what you have.

We must have a clear view that...God today is this law within us. Such a God as a law does not work in us and for us by activities...Today He is the processed God as a law to you. Have you ever had a specific prayer to thank Him that He is now the law to you?...I am afraid we still pray in the old way, asking the Lord for His help in our weakness. We still ask the Lord to help us not to lose our temper...Do you really realize that God has been installed into you as the law of the Spirit of life? He is working within us by a law, not by activity. What we need to do is to cooperate with Him. (The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Divine Economy, msg. 3, I; Perfecting Training, ch. 36, pp. 396-399)

Southern California High School Brothers Conference

The Spring High School Brothers Conference will be held in-person this weekend, March 10 to 12, at Oak Glen. The topic is "The Divine Romance." Please pray for our high school brothers to see the Lord afresh and be drawn by Him personally so that together they would run after Him. Pray that they would be encouraged by and blended with other young people across Southern California.

Los Angeles Large Group Fellowship

This Friday evening there will be a meeting at Hall 5 for all college students in LA. We will be covering the importance of blending as seen in Romans 16. Please pray that:

  • Jesus would gather the students throughout the LA area together to this time.
  • All attending would touch the living Spirit.
  • A vision of the Lord's desire for His blended Body would be imparted through the speaking.

Turkey

Pray for the saints in Istanbul and other cities in Turkey to be strengthened to bear a strong testimony for the Lord and cooperate with Him.

Ethiopia

The Lord is blessing many areas of His move in Ethiopia. The saints throughout the country are steadfastly entering into the riches of this ministry through local conferences and video trainings. The campus work is growing stronger in the Oromiya region in the western part of the country; in the various universities in Addis Ababa, we are looking to the Lord for the best way to take care of more than 60 new contacts. Last August, we held a Summer School of Truth for our young people for the first time. In the Full-time Training in Addis Ababa there are currently 50 trainees, 23 of whom will graduate this July.

There are currently 10 churches in Ethiopia, but there are saints meeting in over 60 localities. Many localities are ready to take the ground. In the first half of 2023 we plan to take the ground in five more cities. Please pray for the security and political stability of the country. Pray that the Lord may gain many serving ones and strengthen them. Also pray for the literature service, that we may distribute more books all over the country.

Having a Revived Living

"Therefore we do not lose heart; but though our outer man is decaying, yet our inner man is being renewed day by day." (2 Cor. 4:16)

The general subject of the 2023 International Chinese-speaking Conference was "Making Ourselves Ready for the Lord's Coming." Please pray that the Lord's speaking to His entire recovery will produce a people who will cooperate with Him to make themselves ready for His coming.

In order to make ourselves ready for the Lord's coming, we need to maintain our victory by having a revived living, a living of being renewed day by day; this renewal has to be refreshed every morning. We must enjoy the Lord early in the morning to have a new start each day. Every morning we should allow the Lord Jesus, our Sun, to rise up in us so that we can be renewed. We should rise up early in the morning to fellowship with the Lord, and we can pray, "Thank You, Lord, for a new beginning. May this day be a memorable day in my life." This is what we call a morning-by-morning revival.

Every morning we should offer up Christ as our burnt offering and peace offering, based upon His being our sin offering, so that we may have a new beginning; not only must we do this every day, but we must also do it with sweetness and depth. To take Christ as our burnt offering every morning is to take Him as the One who lived a life absolutely for God's satisfaction and as the life that enables us to have such a living. (ICSC, msg. 5, I, A, B.1-3)

Seeing and Enjoying the Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity

"Jehovah bless you and keep you; Jehovah make His face shine upon you and be gracious to you; Jehovah lift up His countenance upon you and give you peace." (Num. 6:24-26)

We must have the key, the governing principle, of the writings in the Bible. Just as the master key to a building gives us the ability to open the doors in that building, so we need the key to open every book of the Bible. This key also gives us the ability to discern every portion of the Scriptures. (CWWL, 1984, vol. 2, p. 232)

According to the entire revelation of the sixty-six books of the Bible, the Divine Trinity—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—is for God's dispensing, that is, for the distribution of God into His chosen people. God's desire with His strong intention is to dispense Himself into His chosen people as their life, as their life supply, and as their everything. (CWWL, 1993, vol. 2, p. 53)

What a blessing it is to have His face, His presence, and to enjoy Him daily as grace! What a blessing it is to have His countenance smiling upon us, assuring us, and confirming us! And what a blessing it is to have peace in Him, by Him, and with Him! This is the Triune God as our blessing. (The Divine Dispensing of the Divine Trinity for the Divine Economy, msg. 1, VI)

FTTA

The spring 2023 term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim begins this week on February 19. The Boston Extension (XB) already started last week. Please pray for the perfecting of these young saints in truth, life, and service for the advancement of the Lord's move on the earth.

Turkey

Following the February 6 earthquakes in central and southern parts of Turkey, please pray for the saints who lost their relatives and friends to be comforted and for the saints who have taken refuge outside to be kept in good health, have rest in their souls, and receive supply in their spirits.

Pray for the saints in Istanbul and other cities to be strengthened by the Lord and be His living testimony, and pray for their contacting of Rhema book subscribers and the distribution of further books. May the Lord open the door of the gospel in Turkey!

Ukraine

Please continue to pray that:

  • The Lord will keep all the saints in the involved countries open to Him for their experience of the divine dispensing in all the situations of their daily living.
  • The Lord will meet all the practical needs of the saints as the cold weather of winter settles in.
  • The brothers who are fighting in the war will be preserved by the Lord in their tripartite being.
  • The Lord will shepherd the refugees and establish them in the church life.
  • The local saints, serving ones, and trainees will be blended with the refugees by being through the cross and by the Spirit to minister Christ to one another for the building up of the Body.
  • The saints will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.
  • The tripartite being of saints in besieged cities will be protected and preserved for the Lord's interests.
  • The Lord will comfort and sustain those who have lost loved ones in the war.
  • The enemy will be bound in his attack on the Lord's interests in Russia, Ukraine, and Europe.

Nigeria

Nigeria is the most populous country in Africa with nearly 215 million inhabitants. There is a belief that as the political, economic and social challenges in Nigeria improve, so will the rest of the continent. The churches in Nigeria ask the Body to join them in prayer and petition to the Lord regarding the upcoming elections in country, beginning with the presidential election on February 25.

Please pray that:

  • The Lord would put in place the president of His choice who will serve His interests.
  • The Lord would use the president and other leaders He chooses to bring in a conducive environment for the spread of the gospel of the kingdom throughout Nigeria.
  • The Lord would curb the activities of His enemy during this election period and beyond, and that there would be peace and tranquility during the election and in the long term (1 Tim. 2:2).
  • The election of the proper leaders would bring about normal economic growth and reduce the harsh suffering all over the country. (Basic opportunities for employment and opportunity to earn a living wage will positively affect the spread of the gospel and the churches.)

Prayer According to God's Will

"And Jesus answered and said to them, Truly I say to you, If you have faith and do not doubt...even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will happen. And all that you ask in prayer, if you believe, you will receive." (Matt. 21:21-22)

The first God-man's teaching here was according to God's will for the accomplishment of His economy. Not many see that the Lord's teaching on prayer is related to God's economy, which is to be accomplished by His faithful people doing His will….This is God's will not in small matters, such as where we should move, but His great will for the accomplishment of God's economy. Many Christians today use the term the will of God in a very shallow and light way. We should be those who are carrying out God's will to accomplish God's economy.…What is the real will of God that we have to carry out? It is to take care of the producing and building up of God's organism, which is the Body of Christ that will consummate the New Jerusalem.

We must first be the right persons before God, persons who are one with God. Then we can have God as our faith and pray according to our knowledge of God's will for the fulfillment of His economy….This is the experience of having faith in God without doubting, and believing that we have received what we have asked for so that we receive it. We have to pray according to God's will for the fulfillment of His economy. Then we are one with God and the right persons in God's eyes. Then we have the assurance that we have received what we have prayed for. (The God-man Living, pp. 142-143, 146-145)

ICSC

The 2023 International Chinese-speaking Conference will be held at the Ministry Conference Center in Anaheim from Friday, February 17 through Lord's Day, February 19. All the saints are invited to attend in person at the MCC or by live webcast at http://live.lsmwebcast.com. More information about schedule and translation is posted at http://www.churchinlosangeles.org/prayer. Please pray for Lord to take more crucial steps in the advancement of His purpose during this gathering.

Bibles for America

In 2022, BfA gave away a record 184,000 copies of the NT Recovery Version—57,000 more than any year before. We are thankful to the Lord that so many people in this country are seeking and hungry for the Word of God.

This increase in orders means that a larger number of Bibles need to be packaged and shipped out each week. Please pray that the BfA staff and volunteers laboring at our distribution center would be supplied and strengthened to fulfill all of these orders. Pray also for the Lord to cover every step of the process so that the Bibles could go out in a timely way.

FTTA Gospel Trips – Hayward and Rohnert Park

Please continue to remember the FTTA gospel trips in prayer; they continue until February 11. Specific prayer burdens and updates are at http://ftta.org/gospeltrips.

In California, from January 27 to February 11, a gospel team is visiting several churches in the Bay Area—Hayward, Morgan Hill, Palo Alto, and Rohnert Park. The saints preached the gospel and passed out flyers, tracts, Bibles and booklets at Cal State East Bay in Hayward and Sonoma State University in Rohnert Park. Please pray:

  • For those who signed up to have follow-up contact and become remaining fruit on these two campuses.
  • That the Lord would establish a group of new core students for the Bible Club at Sonoma State University this year.
  • That the Lord would add young couples and families to the church in Rohnert Park.

Timor-Leste

Timor-Leste, or East Timor, is a Southeast Asian nation with fewer than 1.5 million inhabitants, most of whom are Catholic. The two official languages are Portuguese and Tetum, with English and Indonesian designated as working languages. Currently there are 21 saints in the capital Dili; half are Tetum- or Indonesian-speaking, half are Chinese-speaking. Please pray:

  • For the saints in Dili to be healthy, rich, building, and functioning members to build up the Body of Christ for His increase.
  • For the completion of a newly constructed meeting hall.
  • For the language learning of recently migrated saints.

The Pattern of Prayer in Matthew 6

"You then pray in this way: Our Father who is in the heavens, Your name be sanctified; Your kingdom come; Your will be done, as in heaven, so also on earth. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And do not bring us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen." (Matt. 6:9-13)

After the rebellion of Satan, the earth fell into his usurping hand. Thus, the will of God could not be done on earth as in heaven. Hence, God created man with the intention of recovering the earth for Himself. After the fall of man, Christ came to bring the heavenly rule to earth so that the earth could be recovered for God's interest, so that the will of God could be done on earth as in heaven. This is why the new King established the kingdom of the heavens with His followers. The kingdom people must pray for this until the earth is fully recovered for God's will in the coming kingdom age.

[The prayer in Matthew 6], as a pattern, cares first for God's name, God's kingdom, and God's will, and second, for our need. This prayer, as a pattern, cares, third, for the kingdom people's failures before God and for their relationship with others. The kingdom people should ask the Father to forgive their debts, their failures, their trespasses, as they forgive their debtors to maintain peace. This prayer, as a pattern, cares, fourth, for the kingdom people's deliverance from the evil one and from evil things. The kingdom people should ask the Father not to bring them into temptation but to deliver them from the evil one, the devil, and from the evil that is out of him. (Footnotes 101, 111, 121, 132 in Matt. 6)

2023 North America College Training

Registration for the 2023 North America College Training is now open! The subject is "Love Prevails," and it will be held July 16 to 22 in Champaign, Illinois. Thousands of college saints who have participated in previous college trainings received extensive and lasting spiritual benefits, especially the graduating high school seniors. Our expectation is that the Lord would use this special time to freshly gain this generation, to constitute them with the vision of the age and equip them with the truth for His eternal purpose.

Our hope for this time is that the Lord could gather at least 3,500 saints to attend, and to reach that number many college students need to decide early on to set this week apart unto the Lord, regardless of their summer plans. To encourage such a momentous registration, a substantial discount for those who register in the month of January is being offered. However, the real benefit of early registration is that those who commit early can testify to their peers and those in the churches around them of their decision. In so doing, they can be factors to encourage hundreds more to follow them to the NACT this summer!

We need to pray for many to be patterns among this generation who, like Nehemiah, do not seek their own interests but seek the Lord with a pure heart and do not leave the things of God's move to others but participate in them themselves. In the same way as the writer of Hebrews encouraged the readers of his epistle to "come forward" to the place where he was, we pray for many who will take the lead to come forward and register early, during January! Therefore, during this month, we desperately need the fighting prayers of all the saints:

  1. Pray for the stirring up of at least 1,400 throughout North America to register and pay in the month of January, boldly registering in faith and giving the Lord the first place in their summer plans!
  2. Pray that the serving and shepherding saints could render the proper fellowship to all those considering the NACT and that all impediments for those who would like to go would be completely removed.
  3. Pray that the Lord stir up the students not only to register but also to pray for this time and encourage others around them to "Come forward!" to the NACT without delay!

May the Lord continue to raise up a generation of young people for His will and purpose to end this age!

Hall 4 Retreat

This weekend, January 20 to 22, about 85 saints, students, young people, and children from Hall 4 will gather at Oak Glen to begin 2023 together. Please pray for:

  1. All the saints to be washed in the water of the Lord's fresh speaking!
  2. Saints of all ages and stages to be strengthened and encouraged to consecrate themselves to pursue the Lord in an atmosphere of love this year!
  3. Our love for one another to increase so that we can be a testimony of oneness to all those around us!

FTTA Gospel Trips

From January 6 to February 11, gospel trip teams are going out to 20 countries in Europe, as well as the US and Canada, to join with the local saints for the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom. Please pray that:

  • The Lord will blend and build the saints involved so that He will have the free way to fully bless the trips.
  • The sanctifying Spirit will go before the saints to prepare the hearts of those the Lord has chosen.
  • The preaching of the gospel of the kingdom will be prevailing and reach all those the Lord desires to save.
  • Fruit, even remaining fruit, will be borne in each place visited, and the Lord will add to the churches as His testimony in each of these nations.
  • The Lord will fully cover the travel, safety, security, and health of all those involved.

Central & Eastern Europe and the Balkans

It also introduces and speaks concerning the dear saints from Ukraine who are scattered in many of the localities in these countries. Go to https://churchesceeb.org/2022-reports-en.

May the Lord continue to bless His recovery of this part of the earth!

The Word of Christ Dwelling Richly in Us

"Then He opened their mind to understand the Scriptures." (Luke 24:45)

"Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to God." (Col. 3:16)

To reconstitute the people of God is to educate them by putting them into the word of God so that they may be saturated with the word. As the word of God works within us, the Spirit of God, who is God Himself, through the word spontaneously dispenses God's nature with God's element into our being; in this way we are reconstituted. (December Semiannual Training, msg. 5, II.F.1-2)

The greatest need that must be met is to bring the saints in the Lord's recovery into the truth to carry the recovery on. The intrinsic element of the divine revelation must be wrought into and constituted into our being. After the truth gets into our memory, it becomes a constant and long-term nourishment; then we have an accumulation of the truth, and we are under the constant nourishment. (Msg. 11, III.C.1, D.1,3)

It is crucial to let the word of Christ enter into us, dwell in us, and replace our concepts, opinions, and philosophies. If the word of Christ is to make its home in us, we must give it the full liberty, freedom, and right. (LS of Colossians, pp. 247, 576)

May we continually seek the Lord's opening of our mind so that His word may dwell in us richly, causing the recovery to move onward. May all the truths which we have outwardly in the books be constituted into us inwardly for our nourishment, for our ministering to one another, and for more singing with grace in our hearts to God.

SoCal Spanish-speaking and YP Blending Conferences

The Southern California Spanish-speaking conference is this weekend, January 13 to 15 at the Ministry Conference Center (1200 N Hubbell Way, Anaheim). Simultaneously, there will be the Southern California Young People's Blending Conference.

Meetings are Friday 7:30 pm, Saturday 4:00 and 7:00 pm, and Lord's Day 10:00 am. Child care for K–6 will be provided only at the Church in Anaheim District 2 meeting hall; no child care will be provided at the MCC. English-speaking and Spanish-speaking saints are invited to attend all the meetings at the MCC; Chinese and Korean translation at the MCC will be provided only on Lord's Day.

May the Lord super abundantly pour out His rich blessing on these special conferences!

UCLA

UCLA resumed instruction this week. Please pray for a good beginning to this quarter with everyone reconnecting and entering into the fellowship right away!

This week, January 9 to 15, six trainees from the FTTA will take part in a trainee internship with the full-time LA campus team. The primary burden of this week is to give all participants a taste of serving the Lord full-time, not only in the outward matters but also the inward reality. Please pray for the Lord to bless this whole week, and pray that they would be open to the Lord's special training and speaking.

Hall 5 Mini Retreat

This weekend, January 13 to 15, the saints in Hall 5 are having a local mini retreat with a series of gatherings at the meeting hall and nearby venues on the Westside. Please pray for an encouraging time of blending outside the typical church meeting schedule and a good release and reception of the church-wide burden of Bible and Life-study reading. Also pray for the college students to attend and for the further merging of many newer ones into the church life with all the community saints.

BfA Distribution – Northridge

Saturday to Monday, January 14 to 16, saints from Hall 2, along with others, will have a Bibles for America table inside the Northridge Fashion Center shopping mall. More than 35 saints will participate. We will be there 8 hours each day to distribute tracts, NTs, and books. Please pray for this time, that all who serve will enjoy and express the Lord, and that the Lord will bring many sons of peace to us to receive His gospel and His truth.

FTTA Gospel Trips

From January 26 to February 9, 16 FTTA gospel trip teams will go out to 21 countries in Europe to join with the local saints for the preaching of the gospel of the kingdom.

  • The saints in the involved countries involved will be kept in the oneness of the Body and the reality of the new man.

Bangladesh

Pray for the ministry distribution to be strengthened that more young people who are seeking and yearning for the truth can be found.
