Taking Christ as Our Subjective Pattern for Our Daily Salvation

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 2:5)

“Even though He was a Son, learned obedience from the things which He suffered.” (Heb. 5:8)

“…Work out your own salvation with fear and trembling” (Phil. 2:12b)

In order to experience Christ and live Christ, we must know Him as our pattern and take Him as our pattern. The principle of this pattern is that someone with the highest life and position would be willing to live in a lowly way. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (3), msg. 2, I, C)

This pattern is the standard of our salvation. The salvation here in Philippians is salvation of another kind, or of a different degree…The salvation in 2:12 is actually a living person. This person is the very Christ whom we live, experience, and enjoy. A pattern that is only objective could not be our salvation in this way. The fact that salvation is a living person and that this person is our pattern indicates that the pattern is subjective as well as objective. (Life-study of Philippians, pp. 84, 86)

Christ is not only an outward pattern for us; He is also the life within us. As this inner life, He would have us experience Him and thereby live a crucified life. In this crucified life there is no room for rivalry, vainglory, or self-exaltation. On the contrary, there is self-emptying and self-humbling. Whenever we experience Christ and live Christ, we automatically live such a crucified life. This means that when we live Christ, we live the One who is the pattern of a crucified life. Then we also will empty ourselves and humble ourselves. (The Conclusion of the New Testament, p. 3492)

ITERO Follow-up

The September 2025 International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones was held September 25 to 27 in Malaysia. The general subject of the nine messages was “Crucial Aspects of Matthew 5 through 7.” Approximately 1,800 brothers attended live; many are now participating in various blending trips in the region while other brothers back home get into the messages by video training over the next month.

On Lord's Day, September 28 there was a blending conference meeting in the same venue attended by nearly 2,500 saints. Brothers James Lee and Minoru Chen spoke about “Life Is the Source, Love Is the Condition, and Fruit-bearing Is the Goal for the Multiplication and Propagation of Christ as the True Vine, the Organism of the Triune God.”

Please pray that the brothers receiving the ITERO training will digest the words spoken and enter into the reality of the kingdom of the heavens to be the kingdom people.

UCLA – Week 1

We thank the Lord for a fruitful Welcome Week at UCLA, with many new students joining our Bible study, large group fellowship, and campus worship meeting. The fellowship, testimonies, and messages were full of life and encouragement, and many first-time students connected with us through these gatherings. As we begin our small group Bible studies this week with many student sign-ups, please pray:

  • That each time would be filled with mutual speaking, participation, and the building of lasting connections and companionships.
  • For much grace in following up with all the new ones, that the Lord would release meaningful appointments and guide our conversations.
  • For our returning students to develop the heart to shepherd the younger ones, bear remaining fruit, and grow as living channels of life.

SCYP Fall Conferences

Registration is open for the Fall 2025 Southern California Young People's Conferences. The Junior High Conferences will be October 10 to 12 with sisters in Diamond Bar and brothers in Huntington Beach. The High School Conferences will be October 24 to 26 with sisters in Cerritos and brothers in Irvine. Please pray:

  • That the Lord will release many young people to register and attend these conferences.
  • For the Lord to prepare the hearts of all of the young people over the next few weeks.
  • That the young people in Los Angeles will continue to be built up together among the halls

Germany – Farsi-speaking Conference

All Farsi-speaking saints who have been in contact with us in recent years have been invited to a conference from October 3 to 5 at our blending center in Germany. The subject will be “The Restoration of God's House and God's City.” It is notable that this conference will be in-person, since many of the Farsi-speaking saints who came as refugees usually fellowship via Zoom since they are physically scattered around the country. Lord, bless this gathering with Your presence and fresh words!

Germany – October Gospel Trips

Gospels trips are set to take place October 5 to 19 in Germany, mainly to contact students at the start of the academic year. These trips will have visiting saints from around the earth combined with as many local saints as can be available. Please pray:

  • For the Lord to prepare many university students and community residents in the target cities as open vessels to be contacted by the saints.
  • For the participating saints to prepare for the trips by praying, dealing with the Lord, and being filled with the essential and economical Spirit.
  • For a joyful and impactful one accord among all the saints involved, so that they command the Lord's blessing and go out with His authority.

Middle East

Pray that the situation in Israel and the surrounding region will be under the ruling of God's throne so that He will work out the counsel of His will. Pray for the saints there to be strengthened into their inner man, so that they live a life that expresses God and cooperates with God's move.

The Secret to Living Christ

“In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses every man's understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6-7)

The Lord's Word says, “In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God” (Phil. 4:6). Hence, if you have some problem, you just need to tell Him. He is right within you, and He is with you face to face. The Triune God—the Father, the Son, and the Spirit—is in us not to trouble us but to be our Paraclete, Comforter, and Supporter. I always pray, “O Lord, now I am going to take a walk. Support me, sustain me, and strengthen me.” This is to drink the Lord. In this way I have no anxiety. When anxiety comes, you should say, “O Lord, this anxiety is Yours, not mine; I give it to You because You bear it for me.” Thus, you receive the Lord's element into you, and metabolism will work constantly in you. Consequently, what is expressed through you outwardly is Christ. This is to live Christ. Those who do not know this secret consider that to live Christ is a difficult thing. Actually, you just need to practice speaking with the Lord constantly; then spontaneously, you will live Christ.

We need to learn Christ as the secret of being transformed, that is, of being metabolically changed in our natural life, in any kind of environment, situation, or circumstance; this practical and simple secret is to practice speaking with the Lord constantly; then spontaneously, we will live Christ. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (3), msg. 1, III, Key Statement 1)

ITERO

The September 2025 International Training for Elders and Responsible Ones (ITERO) will be held in Klang, Malaysia this week from September 25 to 27, followed by a blending conference meeting on Lord's Day, September 28. Many brothers from around the world will be present for the live training, and many more will participate by video within the next month.

Please pray:

  • For the safe and timely travel of the saints, especially those whose flights may be affected by a super typhoon passing through the Philippines, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and other areas.
  • For the blending and perfecting of the brothers attending in-person, as well as those participating remotely in many churches around the globe, for the sake of the carrying out of God's eternal economy through the church.
  • For the Lord to cover all the speaking brothers and their families and to grant the speaking brothers adequate time to be with the Lord to be thoroughly under the Lord's shining and infusion and to receive a living word from Him to meet the present need.
  • For God's enemy to be fully restricted and rendered powerless to do anything to frustrate what the Lord wants to accomplish for His recovery through this training.

UCLA – Welcome Week

Thank you, saints, for your prayers for our times with the UCLA students last week. This past Lord's Day we had a very large number of brand new students attend our morning meeting on campus. We need much continued prayer for this week, which is UCLA's welcome week.

Please pray:

  • For the Spirit to continue to move in this freshman class to stir them up to seek God, know God, and allow Him to grow in their hearts.
  • For the continued warm contact throughout the week with many soft and open freshmen through personal visits, tabling, and attendance at our events.
  • For the word of God to strongly shine into the hearts of the students at our upcoming Bible study, Large Group Fellowship, and Lord's Day welcome meeting.

France

The world situation is quickly changing. The Lord is surely stirring up the governments of the major powers on the earth so that the situation will be prepared and all His promises will be fulfilled. The earth will be judged and His bride will be prepared. With this in view we must realize that our Lord needs to move to raise up His shining testimony in many places, especially in the places where Antichrist will be so active in the end times.

Today, the Lord is doing an intensified work in Europe. Since the start of this year, a number of saints have migrated to France and Luxembourg. We are praying and expecting that lampstands in Nanterre, Lille, and Toulouse will be raised up very shortly. The Lord is also advancing in Rouen and Esch (Luxembourg), and we believe that He will raise up lampstands in these two cities next.

Please pray:

  • For the Lord to raise up the churches in Nanterre, Toulouse, and Lille this year.
  • For more saints to see that the Lord is preparing everything He needs for His soon return and to hear His call to migrate.
  • For the Lord to strengthen His work in Paris, Rouen, and Esch (Luxembourg).

Germany

Saints from around the world are participating in gospel trips in Germany from October 5 to 19 for the purpose of contacting university students. Please pray for the coordination and fellowship of all the saints involved, including the local saints, and that the Lord will gain many young German-speaking students as remaining fruit and for the spread of the Lord's testimony in this part of Europe.

The Bride as the Corporate Warrior

“You are as beautiful, my love, as Tirzah; as lovely as Jerusalem, as terrible as an army with banners.” (S.S. 6:4)

“Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil.” (Eph. 6:11)

“By means of all prayer and petition, praying at every time in spirit and watching unto this in all perseverance and petition concerning all the saints…” (Eph. 6:18)

Spiritual warfare is necessary because Satan's will is in conflict with God's will. Spiritual warfare is not an individual matter. It is a matter of Christ's bride being a corporate warrior. The church as the bride is actually the corporate man in God's intention, who will fulfill the twofold purpose of expressing God and dealing with God's enemy.

To fight the spiritual warfare, we need to put on the whole armor of God. The whole armor of God is for the Body, not for individuals. Only the corporate warrior can wear the whole armor of God. Prayer is the unique, crucial, and vital means by which we apply the whole armor of God, making every item of the armor available to us in a practical way. We all need to see that in the Lord's recovery today we are on a battlefield. We must cooperate with the Lord to fight against Satan's aerial forces so that we can gain more of Christ for the building up of the Body of Christ and the preparation of the bride of Christ, setting up and spreading the kingdom of God so that Christ can come back to inherit the earth. (The Preparation of the Bride, msg. 6, III, VI, I.B, VII, VI.C, VII.G, IX)

UCLA

We are entering a most critical phase of the campus work at UCLA. We ask for your prevailing prayers over the next few weeks, beginning with the following matters for this week:

  • Pray for the mutual fellowship and building in spirit among the existing students this week during the various workshops, fellowships, activities, and gatherings to prepare for the academic year.
  • We will begin to contact the several hundred freshmen who signed up with our club during the summer. Pray for warm interactions and face-to-face contacts within the first week after they move in.
  • This Lord's day we have our first welcome meeting on campus. Ask the Lord to bring many freshman who would be open to receive the living word of God and be connected with the saints.

LA High School Seniors

On Tuesday, September 16, the LAUSD Region West Annual College and Career Fair will be held at West LA College in Culver City. High school students from different schools will be bused to the campus for the day to speak to college representatives about their admissions process and attend workshops. Many of our own high school seniors will be in attendance. Additionally, community saints will have a Bibles for America (BfA) table at the event.

Please pray:

  • That our high school senior would consecrate their college years to the Lord as they consider and begin their college applications.
  • For all those who received a Bible to come to know the Lord through His word.

Community Gospel – San Fernando Valley

Hall 2 saints have BfA tables at California State University Northridge (CSUN) every Tuesday and Wednesday morning. In the past three weeks we have distributed at least 100 NTs, a similar number of ministry books, and about 3,000 Mystery of Human Life tracts. Since the beginning of August we have had BfA tables weekly outside DMV offices, where we have distributed over 250 NTs and at least 220 ministry books. However, we have very few personal contacts with recipients at either location.

Please ask the Lord:

  • To cause people “to be saved and to come to the full knowledge of the truth.” (1 Tim. 2:4)
  • To give these recipients a hunger for getting into continuing fellowship.
  • To train the saints to be skilled in establishing contact and making appointments for shepherding.

France – Nanterre

Nanterre is a suburb to the west of Paris. The city of Nanterre includes Paris Nanterre University, one of the largest and most prestigious universities in France. The saints who live in this area currently meet as a district of the church in Paris, but there is a burden to raise up a lampstand in Nanterre.

With the start of classes this week at the university, the full-time team in Paris and visiting shepherding saints are distributing Bibles, preaching the gospel, and contacting seeking believers around the campus. On Monday, over 50 Bibles were handed out and at least 10 personal contacts made.

Please pray:

  • For the Lord to capture some seeking French college students and bring them into a normal Christian church life.
  • That the Lord would release a meeting hall in Nanterre at the appointed time and establish a golden, shining lampstand in Nanterre this year..

Nepal

On September 8, massive youth-led protests broke out in Kathmandu and many other parts of Nepal over widespread allegations of government corruption and sparked by a social media ban, which has since been withdrawn. The police responded with force, protesters damaged buildings, and the prime minister resigned. It is estimated that at least 72 people died and over 2,000 suffered injuries. It is the deadliest outbreak of political violence in Nepal in decades.

All the saints are safe. Please pray that the Lord would make the situation in Nepal favorable to the spread of the gospel, and that the brothers and sisters may go on in peace under His protection and care.

Producing Our Wedding Garment by Living a Life in the Spirit

“Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; lovingkindness and truth go before Your face.” (Psa. 89:14)

“And it was given to her that she should be clothed in fine linen, bright and clean; for the fine linen is the righteousnesses of the saints.” (Rev. 19:8)

God is righteous as well as holy. Whereas holiness is related to God's inward nature, righteousness is related to God's outward acts, ways, actions, and activities. Everything God does is righteous. The righteousness of God is what God is in His action with respect to justice and righteousness.

The righteousnesses of the bride here denote the subjective righteousness, Christ as the righteousness which has been constituted into our being. Those who compose the bride have been redeemed and regenerated. But they also need to have the subjective righteousness interwoven into their being in order to have the fine linen, bright and clean. (The Conclusion of the New Testament, pp. 87, 4328)

How can we produce such a garment of righteousness? We produce it by walking daily according to the Spirit of life and by having a life that is a life of the Spirit. If we prepare our wedding garment day by day, month by month, and year by year by living such a life in the Spirit, we will not be found naked when the Lord comes. Instead, at His coming, we will be wearing a bright, clean wedding garment. (Life-study of 2 Corinthians, p. 256)

SCYP Blending Meeting

This Saturday, September 13 there will be a Southern California Young People's blending meeting in Arcadia. The afternoon session, from 4:30 to 6:00 pm, will be conducted in four different age groups; after dinner, the evening session, from 7:00 to 8:30 pm, will be all together. Please pray:

  • That all the YP could attend this time and that the Lord would speak a specific word to each one.
  • That they would consecrate this new school year to the Lord, have companions and “pursue with those,” and be seeds of the gospel in their schools.
  • That there would be mutual encouragement and relatedness among the YP through this time of blending for the Lord to gain this generation as His corporate continuation for His move and return!

FTTA-MA

The new term of the middle-age Full-time Training in Anaheim begins this week on September 8. A total of 80 trainees are attending, including 36 from outside the United States.

May the Lord honor the desire of these saints to redeem the years that the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25) and strengthen their tripartite beings to seize this opportunity to be trained. Pray for the Lord's blessing on this new term, a spirit of fresh consecration, and a renewed sense of the Lord's imminent return. Pray for the deepening of the sweet flow of life as the saints come together to be perfected in an atmosphere of blending to usher in the reality of the Body of Christ for the one new man.

Pepperdine University

Pepperdine is a private Christian university in Malibu. During this fall semester, a brother is teaching two undergraduate courses that will include some ministry materials. Pray for a vision of God's economy to be released on this campus and for some meaningful connections with students to be established.

France – Paris Chinese-speaking Conference

A Chinese-speaking conference will be held in Paris from September 12 to 14. Translation is provided into French and English, since the conference is not only for Chinese-speaking saints.

Please pray for the Lord's timely speaking and the blending among the saints in this conference to advance His building work in Europe. May the Lord keep advancing rapidly in Europe according to His desire to obtain the reality of the one new man through the saints' deeper experience, enjoyment, and expression of Christ.

France – FTTL Gospel Trip to Rouen

Rouen, the capital of the Normandy region in northern France, was one of the target cities during the 2024 Olympics gospel trips. Greater Rouen is home to more than 40,000 students, 34,000 of whom are enrolled at the University of Rouen Normandy (URN). A handful of contacts from the OL trips are still being shepherded by the saints.

Earlier this year, a retired couple migrated from California to Rouen, providing a reliable base for local gatherings and visiting shepherding saints. This week, September 8 to 12, a team of 8 trainees from the FTTL are visiting Rouen to preach the gospel on the campus and in the city. They are being joined by 4 saints from the France full-time team. New contacts will be invited to a gathering on Friday evening.

Please pray for a sweet coordination among the visiting trainees, serving ones, and local saints. Pray for the Lord to capture some seeking French young people and bring them into a normal Christian church life. Pray also for more couples and students to migrate to Rouen to raise up the Lord's testimony.

Turkey (Türkiye)

The first Turkish ministry book was published in 2014, and around 40 titles are now available. Through the Rhema distribution, we have received many contacts throughout the whole country. Most recently, five new contacts have been joining some Bible studies with the saints. Please pray that these ones would be released and open, so that they may soon be baptized into the name of the Lord.

Being Prepared as the Glorious Bride by the Lord's Speaking

“That He might sanctify her, cleansing her by the washing of the water in the word, That He might present the church to Himself glorious, not having spot or wrinkle or any such things, but that she would be holy and without blemish.” (Eph. 5:26-27)

“O you who dwell in the gardens, my companions listen for your voice; let me hear it. Make haste, my beloved, and be like a gazelle or a young hart upon the mountains of spices.” (S.S. 8:13-14)

The Lord's primary work in the recovery is His genuine work to prepare us to be His glorious bride; apart from the continual, dispositional sanctification spoken of in Ephesians 5:26, there is no way for the bride to be prepared and, hence, no way for Revelation 19:7-9 to be fulfilled. The church is being beautified through the process of sanctification by Christ as the life-giving Spirit cleansing us by the washing of the water in His word.

Ephesians 5:26-27 matches Song of Songs 8:13-14; both reveal that it is by the Lord's speaking to us that we are prepared to be His glorious bride with the desire for His second coming…In Song of Songs the loving seeker of Christ asks Him who dwells in the believers as His gardens to let her hear His voice while her companions listen for His voice. This indicates that in the work that we as the lovers of Christ do for Him as our Beloved, we need to maintain our fellowship with Him, always listening to Him. Our lives depend on the Lord's words, and our work depends on His commands (Rev. 2:7; 1 Sam. 3:9-10; cf. Isa. 50:4-5; Exo. 21:6)…The life of the believers hinges totally upon the Lord's speaking (Eph. 5:26-27). (The Preparation of the Bride, msg. 3, II, A; IV, A, 1-2)

May we all learn to fully depend on the Lord's speaking for the preparation of His glorious bride!

FTTA-MA

The Fall 2025 term of the middle-age Full-time Training in Anaheim begins Monday, September 8. A total of 80 trainees will be attending, including 36 from outside the United States. Those coming from large distances will arrive one day to several days early.

Please ask the Lord to cover and supply these saints during their travels. Also ask the Lord to give trainees coming from other nations smooth passage through U.S. immigration.

2026 Winter Olympics in Italy

Next year, the 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Italy from February 6 to 22. The Torch Relay throughout the country will begin on December 6, 2025. Over the past few weeks, there has been much prayer, coordination, and visitation to seek the Lord's leading in His present move. Please pray:

  • That the Lord will be wisdom to His Body on how to take advantage of this opportunity to sow Christ as the seed of the kingdom into many who attend this event.
  • That the Lord will use the upcoming months to prepare the hearts of many seeking people to receive Christ in His word and be added to the Lord's testimony in Italy and other parts of Europe.
  • For the Lord to grace the serving saints to prepare the most effective ministry publications for distribution to the seeking ones.

A letter of fellowship and a letter with instructions on how to apply and participate in gospel trips are posted at lme.org/reports.html.

European University Training

The 2025 European University Training will take place from September 6 to 10 at Woodland Camp in London. The general subject will be “Abiding in Christ.”

Please pray that the Lord will speak a personal word to the university students in Europe and call them into a deeper experience and enjoyment of Him by abiding in Him.

West Africa Brothers Training and Conference

The West Africa Brothers Training will be held in Calavi, Benin from September 4 to 6. It is expected that 65 brothers from the countries of Benin, Ghana, Liberia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Togo will participate, as well as a handful of brothers traveling from France, UK, and the United States.

Following the brothers training there will be a mini-conference for all the saints and the first Lord's table meeting in Calavi on September 7. Praise the Lord! Please pray:

  • That the Lord would release His burden during this time and meet His own need through His speaking.
  • That the Lord would use these annual times of training to raise up many younger brothers who would be perfected and equipped to bear the Lord's testimony in a prevailing way throughout the subregion of West Africa.

Southern Africa Blending Conference

We praise the Lord for the upcoming blending conference that will be held September 6 to 7 for the saints and churches in Angola, Botswana, Eswatini, Lesotho, Mozambique, Namibia, South Africa, Zambia and Zimbabwe. The conference venue is in Brits, South Africa, a town near Pretoria and just over an hour's drive from Johannesburg, on a former farming property that had been given to the church for the Lord's purpose. It will be the first time the property is used for this conference, so many preparations are being carried out.

May the Lord kindle in each saint a fresh excitement for this time of blending with the saints, as well as a prayerful anticipation of receiving His up-to-date speaking to the church. Please pray:

  • That this time would be fresh and new to everyone, and the saints would be released to attend.
  • For all the practical services and venue preparations, and a sweet and harmonious coordination among all those serving.
  • For the speaking brothers.
  • That the Lord's name would be exalted.

The Maturity of the Bride

“…I pursue, if even I may lay hold of that for which I also have been laid hold of by Christ Jesus…One thing I do: Forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, I pursue toward the goal for the prize to which God in Christ Jesus has called me upward. Let us therefore, as many as are full-grown, have this mind…” (Phil. 3:12-15)

As used in the New Testament, the word mature refers to the believers' being full-grown and perfected in the life of Christ, which they received at the time of regeneration. We should never be content with ourselves but pursue growth and maturity in the life of Christ. We need to go on, to be brought on, to maturity by forgetting the things which are behind and stretching forward to the things which are before, pursuing toward the fullest enjoyment and gaining of Christ for the uttermost enjoyment of Christ in the millennial kingdom. The prerequisite for maturity in the spiritual life is to grow continually in the divine life. The ultimate issue of the believers' growth and maturity in the life of Christ is the full-grown man—the church as the Body of Christ growing into a mature man. (The Preparation of the Bride, msg. 3, II.A-D)

Touching and Following the Spirit of the Meeting

Every meeting has a spirit, just as every person has a spirit. Because the spirit of the meeting is a corporate spirit, we must learn to touch the spirit of the meeting and follow this spirit…If each of us learn to touch the spirit of the meeting and to follow the spirit of the meeting, the Holy Spirit would have more liberty in the meetings and would flow out of us more easily…

What kind of learning do we need before we can touch and follow the spirit in the meeting? First, we must learn to be before the Lord in our daily life by following the spirit, not our mind. In every matter, big or small, we must learn to touch our spirit. We must learn to bring our being into the spirit and to exercise our will strongly to turn to God from our emotions, preferences, goals, perspectives, and tendencies. If we practice this all the time, we will be accustomed to living in the spirit. Then when we go to the meetings, we will spontaneously touch the spirit of the meeting. If our spirit is clear, transparent, fresh, and sensitive, we will be able to touch the move of the Spirit in the meeting. (CWWL, 1950–1951, vol. 1, pp. 305-306)

May all the brothers and sisters, especially our young working saints, endeavor to live in the mingled spirit in their daily life, so that they may touch and follow the move of the Spirit during the meetings.

CSUN

The CSUN semester began this week on Monday, August 25. “Meet the Clubs,” one of the big events at the start of the semester where all the clubs introduce themselves and recruit new members, will be next week, September 2 and 3 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. On Thursday, September 4 we will have “Welcome Day,” which is the first occasion to invite those interested in the club to meet together. Please pray:

  • For our six key students at CSUN to grow in the Lord and become more living and energized so that they can be vibrant channels for the gospel.
  • That the Lord will send open and hungry students, especially freshman, to Welcome Day.
  • That our key students and serving ones will be well prepared to continue shepherding and caring for these new people who come to us.

USC

Classes began this week at the USC. We need the prevailing prayers of the saints:

  • For the Lord to empower our existing students to shine forth Christ and seize the opportunity to speak to others about Him from the start of the semester.
  • For the hearts of the freshmen to be open as we reach out to them, and for solid contact throughout the week with many of them.
  • For the new and returning students to be gathered at our first college meeting this Friday, August 29 and each find a a welcoming environment among us with rich spiritual supply.

France – Students Conference

This weekend, August 29 to 31, there will be a conference for college students and young working saints aged 18 to 35 in Semur-en-Auxois, a village in eastern France halfway between Paris and Lyon. The burden of the conference is to shepherd and perfect this age group and prepare the campus work in September. Around 70 saints have registered, including around 30 students. The topic of the conference is “Crucial Dealings for Our Experience of Life.” Please pray:

  • For any saints still considering their participation to still register by faith.
  • For the health, safety, and travel of all the saints.
  • For an uplifted atmosphere filled with the Lord's presence and timely speaking this weekend.

Germany – Blending Conference

There will be a Northern Germany Blending Conference the weekend of August 30 to 31 at Gut Elim, the blending center for the saints and churches in Germany. Pray that the Lord will bring the saints to this conference and bless the speaking and the blending in these two days.

Germany – October Gospel Trips

There will be gospel trips in multiple cities in Germany from October 5 to 19, mainly to contact students at the start of the semester. These trips will have visiting saints from around the earth combined with as many local saints as can be available. There are 45 spaces for visiting saints with September 15 the registration deadline. As of last Friday, 22 spaces were filled.

The Lord told us in Matthew 9:37-38, “The harvest is great, but the workers few; therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest that He would thrust out workers into His harvest.” Let us beseech the Lord to fill each of the 45 spaces. Let us also petition Him to release as many local saints as possible to participate in these gospel times.

The Building of the Bride

“And Jehovah God built the rib, which He had taken from the man, into a woman and brought her to the man. And the man said, This time this is bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; this one shall be called Woman because out of Man this one was taken.” (Gen. 2:22-23)

“This mystery is great, but I speak with regard to Christ and the church.” (Eph. 5:32)

Genesis 2:22 does not say that Eve was created but that she was built; the building of Eve with the rib taken from Adam's side typifies the building of the church with the resurrection life released from Christ through His death on the cross and imparted into His believers in His resurrection (John 12:24; 1 Pet. 1:3).

The church as the real Eve is the totality of Christ in all His believers; the church is the reproduction of Christ; other than Christ's element, there should be no other element in the church (Gen. 5:2).

Only that which comes out of Christ with His resurrection life can be His complement as His bride (1 Cor. 12:12; Eph. 2:6; 5:28-30); the church is a pure product out of Christ; the church is “Christly,” “resurrectionly,” and heavenly. (The Preparation of the Bride, msg. 1, III.G.2-3, H.)

Wednesday Night Ministry Meetings

A new term of mid-week ministry meetings begins this Wednesday, August 20 at 7:25 pm at the LSM Ministry Conference Center in Anaheim. All the saints are warmly invited and encouraged to attend in person to support the release of the word. The meeting will also be live-streamed and archived at lsmwebcast.com (subscription or payment required).

Please pray for the ministry of the Lord's word week by week to His recovery. Pray for as many saints as possible to receive the speaking, whether in person or online. Pray for the Lord's continued blessing of the Full-time Training in Anaheim and covering of all trainees and serving ones.

FTTA Middle-Age

The fall term of the middle-age full-time training begins Monday, September 8. The application deadline is Tuesday, August 19. The training brings saints further into truth, life, service, gospel, and character. Ask the Lord to release more applications from across North America and from Europe. Also pray that He prepare more saints to join this training in the coming terms.

Bibles for America

While enrollment rates in colleges and universities dropped during and immediately after the pandemic, they have begun to increase again in the past couple of years. According to the Association of American Universities, around 16 million students enrolled as undergraduates in the fall of 2024.

As the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year draws near, please pray for the Lord to brood over all of the campuses in the United States, that His Word may go out in an unhindered way and that many young people would be captured for His purpose. Pray also for the saints going out to distribute copies of the NT Recovery Version and that every student who receives one would open it and find joy, strength, and peace in God's Word.

FTTL

The 2025 autumn semester of the Full-time Training in London began this week on August 18. The total number of trainees is 47, of which 14 are starting their first term. Please pray:

  • That the Lord will cover the training during the transition while the new facility is being constructed.
  • That many more European young people will be burdened by the Lord to come to the training full-time, and that the Lord will release them from any preoccupation to offer themselves willingly in the day of His warfare.
  • That the Lord will continue to raise up many shepherds to provide the needed care for the European young people, university students, and young adults as the tide of this age continues to darken.

2026 Winter Olympics in Italy

The 2026 Winter Olympic Games will be held in Italy from February 6 to 22. The Torch Relay throughout the country will begin on December 6, 2025.

The Entire World Situation

“…For His dominion is an eternal dominion, and His kingdom is from generation to generation; and all the inhabitants of earth are considered as nothing, but He does according to His will in the army of heaven and among the inhabitants of the earth; and there is no one who can resist His hand or say to Him, What are You doing?” (Dan. 4:34-35)

The entire world situation is under the rule of the heavens by the God of the heavens in order to give Christ the preeminence in all things, to cause Christ to have the first place in everything. (Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ (3), msg. 9, IV.F, 1)

The Bride—the Goal of the Lord's Recovery

“Let us rejoice and exult, and let us give the glory to Him, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.” (Rev. 19:7)

The marriage of the Lamb [in Revelation 19:7-9] is the issue of the completion of God's New Testament economy, which is to obtain for Christ a bride, the church, through His judicial redemption and by the organic salvation in His divine life. The bride is the goal of the Lord's recovery. (The Preparation of the Bride, msg. 1, II.A, III)

There is no doubt that Revelation 19 will be completely fulfilled. Furthermore, we believe that the process of fulfillment is taking place today. The bride, however, cannot be prepared quickly. This preparation is a gradual work that takes place over a period of time. Certainly the Lord must be doing a work on earth to prepare His bride. This preparation involves the work of a corporate building. Those who make up the bride must not only be mature in life; they must also be built together as the one bride. The primary work of the Lord in His recovery is to prepare His bride. In His recovery He is calling out a remnant of those who love Him and who are faithful to Him. He is sending out the call to overcome the degradation of Christianity so that a number of those who seek Him may be prepared as His bride. (The Conclusion of the New Testament, p. 4324)

Pray for the saints to hear the call to overcome by becoming part of the bride through cooperation, preparation, beautification, and maturation.

Having a Breakthrough in Contacting People

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the husbandman. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit, He takes it away; and every branch that bears fruit, He prunes it that it may bear more fruit…If one does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is dried up; and they gather them and cast them into the fire, and they are burned…You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and I set you that you should go forth and bear fruit and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give you.” (John 15:1-2, 6, 16)

Some brothers and sisters have been faithful in the recovery and for the recovery for many years…They love the church, they are for the church, and they support the church financially, but they are not bearing fruit. They should realize that to not bear fruit is a serious thing before the Lord. The Lord wants us to have a spiritual life in the church, to go to the meetings, to worship Him, and to live Him. But what is all this for? If all the saints in the church were like this, yet no one bore any fruit, the church would eventually die out…The most basic, crucial, and vital thing is for us to bring forth children.

…To bring forth spiritual children, you must make a serious decision to contact people directly. Do not trust in preachers and in preaching meetings. Just trust in your direct, personal, continual contact with people. (CWWL, 1989, vol. 4, “Elders' Training, Book 10: The Eldership and the God-ordained Way (2),” ch. 9, pp. 455-456)

Please pray that all the saints would have a breakthrough in gaining people for the Lord themselves by learning how to bear fruit and practicing fruit-bearing continually.

FTTA

The Fall 2025 term of the Full-time Training in Anaheim (as well as the Boston Extension) began this week on August 10. For this pre-training week, please pray:

  • That the Lord would speak all that is on His heart to supply and prepare the trainees and to gain their full consecration.
  • For the Lord's covering and strengthening of all the staff and serving saints as they cooperate with Him to care for all aspects of the training.
  • For the Lord's arrangements of all the service groups and campus teams, and for the surrounding localities to be ready to receive and care for the trainees assigned to them.

Our Young People

The LAUSD 2025–2026 academic year started on Monday, August 11 with other school districts having already begun or beginning soon. Please pray for all our young people to consecrate this upcoming school year to the Lord and to abide in Him. Pray that they would become seeds of the gospel and branches of Christ and would lead their friends and classmates to the Lord (John 12:24; 15:5).

France

We continue to be burdened for the raising up of at least 3 new lampstands in 2025, particularly in Lille, Nanterre (Paris region), and Toulouse.

Please continue to pray for more saints to receive the Lord's burden to serve in French-speaking Europe for one to three months to meet the urgent need for continued shepherding of the new ones the Lord has put into our hands. Also pray that many students, families, and mature saints will migrate to France within the next several years for the Lord's interest.

Ukraine and Russia

A reminder from the footnote on 1 Kings 8:48: “No matter for whom we are praying, our prayers should be aimed at the interests of God, i.e., at Christ and the church as God's interests on earth, for the fulfilling of God's economy.”

Please continue to pray for the Lord to:

  • Keep all the saints in the countries involved open to Him for His divine dispensing.
  • Meet all their practical needs and preserve their tripartite beings for His interests.
  • Protect His people and His interests in Ukraine, Russia, and throughout Europe.

Laos

Laos is a landlocked country in Southeast Asia with a population of approximately 8 million. There are currently four local churches, including in the capital, Vientiane.

Please pray for the campus work in Vientiane to bear 10 remaining fruits and gain 20 college students who are willing to read the Bible. Also, continue to pray for the literature work to be strengthened and for the final proofreading and publication of the Rhema books in the Lao language. May these materials become a timely and rich supply to the saints and seekers throughout the country.

Joined to Christ as Our New Husband

“For the married woman is bound by the law to her husband while he is living; but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law regarding the husband. So then if, while the husband is living, she is joined to another man, she will be called an adulteress; but if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is not an adulteress, though she is joined to another man. So then, my brothers, you also have been made dead to the law through the body of Christ so that you might be joined to another, to Him who has been raised from the dead.” (Rom. 7:2-4a)

[Romans 7:2-4a] shows two husbands. The first husband, the old husband, is the old man mentioned in 6:6, who has been crucified with Christ. The second husband, the new husband, mentioned in 7:2-4, is Christ. Since our old man, who was the old husband, has been crucified with Christ, we are freed from his law and are joined to the new Husband, Christ, the ever-living One.

This joining indicates that in our new status as a wife, we have an organic union in person, name, life, and existence with Christ in His resurrection. Now we are married to Christ, our new Husband. Since Christ is our Husband, we must depend on Him and take Him as our Head. To take Christ as our Husband means to terminate all that we are, have, and do and trust in Him for everything. No longer should we live by ourselves but by Christ. We must let Christ live for us. (Chapters 5 through 8 of Romans—the Kernel of the Bible, msg. 4, II.A, 1-2, B; III.A, B, 1, 3)

Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ

“And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we might know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20)

We need to know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we might know Him who is true and know that we are in Him who is true, in Jesus Christ, the Son of God; this is the true God and eternal life. (June 2025 Semiannual Training, Key Statement 4)

Please continue to intercede for the prayerful response of all the saints to the Lord's speaking in the recent semiannual training. Pray for all the saints in the churches to spend the time praying over the word, allowing it to have a thoroughfare in their being so that it becomes their constitution. Pray for the saints to to pray desperately for their growth in life unto maturity in this age so that the bride could be prepared. May we all redeem the time advance in our experience and enjoyment of Christ for the expression of Christ for the fulfillment of God's economy!

UCLA Orientations

This summer, UCLA is hosting 12 orientation sessions for incoming freshmen. During these two-day sessions, students pick classes and get acquainted with campus life. A big component is a club fair on the first day of orientation, where students can sign up for various clubs that appeal to their interests. Three of these orientation sessions have already occurred and there will be nine more throughout the summer.

Our club will have a table at most of these orientations in order to meet and connect with new students. Over the years, these orientations have been very fruitful for our labor at UCLA. Please pray:

  • For the Spirit to brood over the incoming freshmen to open them to the Lord and bring them to our table for connection and fellowship.
  • For our timely follow-up with all who leave their name and our staying in contact with them throughout the summer and into the fall quarter.
  • For the Lord to flow through our own students and full-timers at the table to minister Christ as the immense magnet and charming object to the freshmen.

North America Chinese-speaking Saints Perfecting Training

The second and final phase of this summer's perfecting training for Chinese-speaking saints in North America is happening July 30 to August 3 in Cerritos. The general subject is “Go and Bear Remaining Fruit.” Please pray:

  • That the Lord would keep the hearts of the saints open for this training, granting them a spirit of hunger and openness, and that He would cover their health and travel.
  • That the saints would be perfected unto the work of the ministry for the building up of the Body of Christ (Eph. 4:12).

European Young People's Conference and Family Camp

The annual European YP conference and family camp is taking place from July 27 to August 2 in Małe Ciche, Poland. This year's conference marks its 30th year and is the largest gathering yet, with over 1,700 saints expected (approximately 1,000 attending the YP section and 700 attending with families).

Please continue to pray:

  • For a cleansed and sanctified environment for the Lord to freely move among our young generation to gain a group of consecrated young people in Europe for His testimony and expression.
  • For the Lord's speaking to the young people and families in Europe and their response for the advancement of His move in Europe.
  • For much blending, mutual encouragement, and strong morale among the young people and families.

Meeting Hall in Riga, Latvia

Due to changes in construction plans the rising cost of materials, as well as the building's status as a recognized historical site, the renovation costs for the recently acquired meeting hall in Riga are expected to increase by approximately 200,000 Euros. Please pray:

  • For the fellowship and coordination of the brothers regarding the project to renovate the property recently purchased to serve as the meeting hall of the church in Riga.
  • For the timely approval and authorization of all necessary permits and plans, so that there are no delays in the work.
  • For everyone laboring on the project, for the supply for the saints, and for the safety of all workers.

A five-minute video report has been posted at lordsmove.org/reports.html. As the Lord leads, saints in LA may participate in giving through the Church in Los Angeles designated for “Riga Meeting Hall.”

Sri Lanka

Pray for the registration of the church with the Ministry of Christian Affairs as a step to facilitate the Lord's move in Sri Lanka, as the process enters its final stage with an onsite visit by government officials.

Tribulation, Endurance, Approvedness, and Hope

“And not only so, but we also boast in our tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces endurance; and endurance, approvedness; and approvedness, hope.” (Rom. 5:3-4)

Tribulation is actually the incarnation of grace and the sweet visitation of grace; to reject tribulation is to reject grace, which is God as our portion for our enjoyment; grace mainly visits us in the form of tribulation by which God causes all things (all persons, all matters, all situations, all circumstances, and all environments) to work together for good, which is our gaining more of Christ to have Him wrought into our being, so that we may be transformed metabolically and conformed to Christ's image and so that we may be brought into the full sonship.

Tribulation issues in endurance, and endurance produces approvedness, which is tested character and approved worth (Phil. 2:19-22)…Along with approvedness, we have hope (Rom. 5:4), and we boast because of the hope of the glory of God (v. 2). The God of all grace has called us into His eternal glory in Christ Jesus; here and now we are enjoying Christ, who dwells in our spirit, as our hope of glory.

As we enjoy Christ in our sufferings, we are being saved in His life for accomplishing the organic goal of God's dynamic salvation, which is the producing and building up of the organic Body of Christ expressed in the local churches, where we enjoy the rich grace of the Lord and where the God of peace crushes Satan under our feet for His glorious expression and for the display of His victory. (Chapters 5 through 8 of Romans—the Kernel of the Bible, msg. 2, III.A, B, C, 2, D)

Experiencing, Enjoying, and Expressing Christ

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who…emptied Himself, taking the form of a slave…; and being found in fashion as a man, He humbled Himself, becoming obedient even unto death, and that the death of a cross.” (Phil. 2:5-8)

In order to experience Christ and live Christ, we must know Him as our pattern and take Him as our pattern, take Christ's mind as our mind, and know the Son's submission. (Key Statement 2)

Please pray that the speaking from the recent semiannual training would penetrate the entire recovery in an unprecedented way to match the Lord's present burden. Pray for the saints in all the churches to take Christ as their pattern in a subjective and experiential way. Pray that the One who not only set up the pattern but who Himself is the pattern would operate within all the saints as the indwelling God.

2025 Southwest Summer College Training

Dear saints, thank you for your prayer! Around 39 college students from different schools in LA participated last week in our region's summer college training at Oak Glen. This five-day training had the subject of “The Humanity of Jesus” with a focus on Christ as revealed through the type of the meal offering in Leviticus. Students were impressed with their need to have a proper humanity in order to express God for His purpose. Daily we have to eat and enjoy Christ as the “fine flour mingled with oil” to be constituted with His humanity for a proper Christian and church life.

There were also two supplemental lines on personal fellowship with the Lord and preaching the gospel. The morning line on personal fellowship helped the students know how to exercise their spirit to touch the Lord affectionately through pray-reading, calling, and confessing. After these brief messages, students were given the opportunity to practice spending personal time with the Lord. The line on gospel preaching was mainly carried out in smaller groups where the students were able to fellowship on the burden of praying for and contacting their friends. Additionally, throughout the week, there were group study times, verse memorization, and testing, as well as special fellowships on mental health, the Lord's recovery, and the Full-time Training in Anaheim.

As follow-up, please pray for the students' immediate practice of all that they touched during this training, in particular:

  • For the students to eat and enjoy the Lord daily as the meal offering through reading and praying over the word of God.
  • For them to be constituted with the humanity of Jesus to stand against the current of today's age and to be a testimony to their friends, family, and classmates.
  • For them to have companions with whom they can enjoy the word and pray for those they are burdened for.

Nordic-Baltic Conference

This weekend, July 18 to 20, a conference for the saints in the Nordic and Baltic countries will be hosted by the church in Oslo, Norway. This conference is a highlight for the saints in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, and Iceland, as well as for those in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. This summer's conference subject is “Our Faith Being Perfected.” Please pray for the Lord's fresh speaking and for the gathering and blending of the saints into the reality of the Body.

The Lord has been preparing and gaining a new generation of younger saints in this region—both church kids and gospel contacts. Recently, over a dozen students and young work saints attended the semiannual training in Anaheim, preceded by blending visits with several localities in Southern California, including Los Angeles. Some of these young saints are the only ones in their age group in their localities, so the blending has been encouraging. Pray for these ones and others to go on from strength to strength. After this weekend's conference, there will be a larger blending trip for students from the Nordic and Baltic countries—this time with 32 saints, two-thirds of whom are students. Lord, fully gain this new generation for the preparation of the bride for Your return!

Germany – Gospel Trips

Saints are invited to participate in gospel trips in German-speaking countries from October 5 to 19 for the purpose of contacting university students. A link to more information, including instructions on how to register for these trips, can be found at tinyurl.com/Gospeltrips-2025.

Please pray that the Lord will gain many young Germans, Swiss, and Austrians as remaining fruit and for the spread of the Lord's testimony in all these cities through these gospel trips.

A special fellowship was held at the recent semiannual training about the Lord's up-to-date move in Europe as a whole and specifically in Italy and in French- and German-speaking Europe. A video of that fellowship is available at lordsmove.org/reports.html.

Nepal

Pray for the campus work, that more students who are open and willing to read the Bible would be gained, and that 10 stable home meetings would be established in July.
