The Need to Be Formed into an Army

“Finally, be empowered in the Lord and in the might of His strength. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil, for our wrestling is not against blood and flesh but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenlies.” (Eph. 6:10-12)

The picture in Numbers shows the Triune God and His chosen people mingled together as one entity so that God may move on the earth and conquer His enemy in order to regain the earth for the fulfillment of His eternal purpose.

Because God desires a corporate man to represent Him in subduing and regaining the earth from the usurping hand of Satan, God’s chosen and redeemed people need to be formed into an army to journey with God and to fight with God for His interest on earth.

The entire Bible shows us one thing—that God’s intention is to have a people formed into an army to take Christ as their meaning of life, testimony, center, Leader, way, and goal and to proceed on and fight for God so that He may have the ground on earth and have a people built up as His kingdom and His house, which will consummate in the New Jerusalem. Santa Clarita

Praise the Lord for the dew of Hermon descending upon the mountains of Zion and running down upon the hem of Aaron’s garments (Psalm 133). In Santa Clarita we are enjoying this dew; we are enjoying the one accord and continuing in “the prayers” (Acts 2:42). Prayer has become a great enjoyment to us! It seems like the more we pray, the heavier the burden becomes. The Lord has turned us from offering general prayers to specific prayers that He can answer for many people. We pray name by name. And we can testify that we have a God who answers prayer! We are encouraged to see many prayers answered. We are motivated to continue in one accord to beseech the Lord.

On February 24, we held our second Lord’s table meeting in Santa Clarita. We sensed the Lord’s sweetness and presence. It was encouraging to see saints who have not met with us for years, and to break bread and enjoy the Lord with them. Starting in March, we will have two Lord’s table meetings each month (on the second and fourth weekends). O Lord, the city of Santa Clarita belongs to You!

FTTA Gospel Trips to Europe Follow-Up

The FTTA gospel trips to Europe concluded earlier this month. A total of 139 trainees and serving saints in 24 teams visited 17 European countries. Please pray:

  • That the Lord’s word that went out will not return to Him vainly but will accomplish what He desires for His move in Europe (Isa. 55:11).

  • That many of the contacts that were made, including some key ones, will be brought into the church and that the churches and the saints in Europe will be strengthened and encouraged.

Germany

Please pray for long-term visas for many saints to continue serving in Germany. For some it is difficult to find the right path to take; for all it requires prayer for the Lord’s heading up of the process.

United Kingdom

Please continue to pray for the Lord to rule over the UK’s withdrawal from the European Union. In particular, pray that the saints from other parts of Europe will still be able to travel to the UK for trainings and conferences.

Nepal

There will be a national blending conference from March 8 to 9. May the Lord speak to His churches and strengthen His testimony in Nepal, a predominantly Hindu country with nearly 30 million people. Please also pray for the practice of daily Bible reading in the church life that all the saints may spend time to enjoy God’s word and be constituted with the truth.
