Psalms on the House and the City

“O Jehovah, I love the habitation of Your house, and the place where Your glory abides.” (Psalm 26:8)
“But if I delay, I write that you may know how one ought to conduct himself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and base of the truth.”
(1 Timothy 3:15)

The Psalms, which reveal Christ in many wonderful ways, also show us that God’s intention is to have a house and a city on the earth for His expression. The end of Psalm 23 shows us that His shepherding of us brings us to the house of God, which in the New Testament is revealed to be the church (1 Tim. 3:15).
